  • After a few practice setups and more importantly, take downs, I tested this tent (2P) camping this past weekend. IT does indeed go up very quickly and one could argue that is goes down just about as fast. However, because I was camping with others that made me show them how easy it was a few times it may have lost its speed advantage over other tents. People find it amazing and want to see it. The test also included it in both some mild wind and some rain. It handled both very well and did not leak a drop! The issues others have pointed out about the door being inset when open and water getting in that way are indeed true, but minor. Many tents get wet around the door in the rain as folks enter and exit. You just wipe it up. I might rig a tiny fly extension for it to prevent this when using it in the future. All of my other tents that get used frequently are Sierra Designs, two of which are four season tents. Is this one as good as those? No, no it is not. In “real weather,” or backpacking I’d use the Sierra Designs tents. But they take far more effort and time to setup and take down. In good weather the Pop Up has them beat! I also use a Sierra Designs Baffin Bivy and though not a tent, it is used for speed, i.e set up and take down camp fast. It is still faster than the Coleman Popup, but not by a lot and the Pop Up is certainly more comfortable and less of an issue in rain. Others have pointed out issues taking the tent down and folding it up, even broken polls while doing this. I did not have any issue. I watched the YouTube videos and made a point of being gentle. I practiced a lot. I can fold it up in well under a minute. I have folded it up maybe 40 times without any poll issues or failures. To those having issues, practice, never force it and watch the you tube videos of the folks who know how to do it. It is really, really, easy. Others have pointed out the door zipper can be difficult to zip. This is also true and more so when the tent is staked out. It is not a one handed operation, but to be just, on all three of my Sierra Designs tents, it is a two handed operation also, and mostly where the door corves when they are put up tight. The Coleman was the same, though it is slightly harder to zip up. I’d ding it for that, but I got used to it pretty fast. It is another thing where being gentle with it will have rewards. Some have pointed out the cloth floor as an issue. Though, many tents have fabric flows this one seems thin and may be a vulnerable spot. I used a small tarp under It (I use fitted ground cloths with my other tents). I sized the tarp so most of the water running off the tent hit dirt and not the tarp (so the water does not go under the tent). I did not have any problems. Finally, it comes down to how many stars. I could easily say my Sierra Designs, tents are 5 stars and therefore this must be something far less. However, the Sierra Designs tents cost three to five times as much! The ease of setup earns this tent a great score. For the price this Coleman Popup is 100% worth it. Five stars.

Replace the pump on my 40 year old Stove for the first time, works like new. Maybe I should clean the stove for the first time?

So far, so good. It arrived in one piece, packaged securely. Easy to install, it measures 4-3/8" high x 4-1/8" diameter. A genuine Coleman part, it says on the globe: "Made in China for Coleman - Globe No. 288C0431415". If you have the right globe for your lantern, it should fit snugly and not rattle around. You might need to adjust the thin metal hold-downs on your lantern slightly. See the photo attached for the lantern models it fits.

  • This chair is the best. I have so many people at the campsite who sit in it and say, they need one or use it for a footstool. I just purchased a second. One to keep at the fire and get smokey and the other clean one for my van. It is the perfect height. I can get in the grub box, swivel around to the bed and get into drawers. I love this stool. It has stood the test of time for many years. I can't say enough about it. EDIT- I really loved this stool and I purchased two. The second one I have purchased has bent and so it is going to have to be replace. I really have loved and told everyone about this. I wish I could report like before .I love this. it is just the right hight in my van to sit or for a footstool at the fire pit. but I'm online looking for another.

  • Disappointing! Does not include an adapter to securely connect the hand pump to the Coleman Quickbed valve itself. This is an older (20+ year) Coleman quickbed. You have to use the long skiinny pinch valve and hold it into the hole on the cap on the quickbed valve cover. It does not fit tightly so you will pump with one hand and hold the pinch valve in tightly with the other. You would think Colemen would provide a screw-on adapter just like the one on the battery powered quick pump that came with the mattress. See the picture for the details. It works somewhat with the pinch valve so I'll keep it because I can get the mattress to a very firm level with the hand pump.

  • It boast easy popping up, but it was actually kind of hard for me. I could only find the directions to pop up in spanish but I was able to look at the pictures to help. What is the most frustrating is that poles are attached so when you are trying to layout the tent they get in the way and make it hard to lay out. The poles don't even go to the edges of the tent you have to pull them out and stake them the pole just pop up the middle. So one color goes in an X and the other color goes straight, and you put them in their corresponding color pockets right next to the door on both sides. I was getting confused because I was taking them to the edges and that is not how it worked. Once I figure it out it was easier. The top rainfly also had color coded hook. You hook the red one into the red hook in the tent so you know you are putting it up correctly. The rainfly was pretty easy to put on. The tent is really big. We had a king and a queen air mattress in there and then plenty of room in the middle for our luggage and stuff. There is a bunch of pockets everywhere which is helpful. It comes with two battery operated light things both take 3 AA so in total you need 6 AA to use them. There is pockets inside the tent to hang the battery and then you string the lights inside there is guide pockets to put them. I didn't see a place outside to hang them but I didn't really look, since I found the two places inside for them. They worked well, you just press the button and they light up. The tent is tall, I could stand up in the middle no problem. I am 5'6" and it was easy to stand. In the end, packing up was a bit hard but we were able to shove everything into the bag so that was good. It also came with a tiny tarp for a door mat, we brought a tarp for that so we used that tiny tarp for the mat at our hammock. But overall, much harder than I anticipated putting it up.

  • I wanted to replace my Magma Grill Products Marine Kettle 3, as it has been blowing out under 10+mph winds. This Coleman 4-in-1 Stove does heat up well. I like to grill my Filet's as hot as the grill can get, with the minimum time to cook, much like Ruth's Chris does. The minimum temps for this process to produce excellent steaks is 650 degrees Fahrenheit. This grill does achieve that goal. As you can see I have included photos of the grill plate and temps across the plate, from center to outer edge. 726 - 615 Degrees on the Grill Platter. The grill did blow out once but after it was hot it stayed lit, so tending it for 2-3 min is needed (instructions say this). How The Grill Was Tested: - 5 Min preheat on highest setting, Take Temps (reference to see if it was hottest at that point) - 10 Min pre heat on hightest settings, Take Temps (it did climb in temps by ~70-100 degrees after the 10 minutes. - Preheat performed with the Lid on (this is not a lid its a wok, more on that disappointment) Pros: The grill at 10 min was hot and will cook well at a 726 in the center and 613 on the outer edge of the frill plate. Wind at 10+ mph did not blow out the flame after it was preheated 2 min. Has a grease trap around the burner, and the entire grill comes apart for cleaning (difficult but you can twist apart) You can use water in the grill bottom for the Stove Function, use water when using the wok as well. All the parts that come off, store inside the lid and the lid has clasps to keep the lid on and close. The Coleman propane feed is tried and true and needs no adjustments or tuning. Has a built in striker. Cons: The manual says "Only use wok as a cooking vessel, the wok is not intended to be used as a lid when cooking" This is a major letdown, as the Magma has a lid and that is what keeps the heat in for world class grilling. The grill body does get up to 350 degrees, which could lead to burns if you were to touch (Magma does not with double walls) Protective Gloves are recommended, as the temps above indicated. Reversible Grill/Griddle is nonsick, and at these temps I'd expect it to fail. Should have just made it cast iron. The Lid has rubber on the clasps, not sure if those will melt if it gets hot enough when using as a wok. The valve could be a 1 turn valve instead of a multi-water faucet type. If the thing flairs up with fire, you want to shut it off fast, and thats not easy turning a flaming basket ball size grill when you have to twist the knob 5-6 times. Other Notes: I am going to use the Wok as a lid. If they designed this correctly with the vents in the back and not wrapping all the way around the sides, the handles would stay cooler, but then again, its not a lid people (right, like webers dont have lids). Its nice it all fits in the lid, I'd recommend wrapping the grill/griddle in a towel to keep it from banging and getting scratched by the legs and regulator. All in all, for tailgating, camping, or picnic's it is functional enough. I didn't mention size as a con, even though it is small, as I have never had an issue feeding 8 people within ample time, since the steaks cook in 5 min each side at these high temps, and the grill will hold 4, 6-8oz filets without issue, so in 20 min you can have 8 world class steaks. On the photos, I circled the thermometer laser to highlight the location for those of us with old eyes. Also for comparison the Magma gets over 750 degrees without issue, so this one cannot keep up with that.

  • We LOVE the chairs! I read the reviews & seen alot of negative comments about the side table so I admit I was a little concerned while awaiting delivery. I think it's perfect! As you can see in the pic, it holds my cup amazingly well & is big enough to hold a variety of different size cups & bottles, although nothing monsterous. The seat is very comfy with just enough give. The seat itself is built very sturdy even for those that may have a little bit bigger bum. Great chair for an amazing price!

  • My 10 year old and I just got back from camping with the scouts, and it worked out perfectly for us. It took me and husband about 10 minutes to put up—We are not experienced campers. We were hit the first afternoon with a relatively quick (maybe 20 minute) but torrential storm— the tent stayed up and everything stayed dry. The zipper pulls frequently got caught on the protective fabric, but I’m told this is a common tent issue. For us, this was a good purchase.

  • PRICE: This is a very good price considering the size and functionality of the tent. It is a good price for people looking for a simple tent to do some simple camping. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s roomy and gets the job done. SET-UP: I have to admit, it took me over an hour the first time to set it up and put it away. I absolutely could not get it back in the bag. After I had everything figured out, it took like 10 minutes to set up everything and I had the help of two other people, so it went by fast. It is still a bit rough putting it away and getting it to fit in the bag, but don’t give up. SIZE: It states this is an eight person tent. You can definitely fit eight, but you’ll be very much side by side. You can comfortably fit six and have plenty of wiggle room though. RAIN: I haven’t had the chance to use it in heavy rain yet, but I have used it in general everyday rain. For the most part, there were no leaks at all. It is a bit sketchy considering how the entire “ceiling” is just mesh. Thankfully the cover does cover the majority of it. You can see this in the photo, but in the front, there is a fairly sized gap between the cover and the mesh. So if you’re facing the rain, you’re probably going to get soaked. I faced my tent away from the rain, and so had no issues at all. WIND: I had my tent set up in some heavy wind. The tent shook constantly and it was very loud. However, I am surprised nothing blew away. The tent bent back and forth but it was all still in the ground and put together once it was over. DURABILITY: I was disappointed at the holes and tears that were visible upon receiving the tent. I can sew and did’t need to go through the process of exchanging. It took a bit of time to actually get my tent, so I didn’t want to wait longer, but that’s another story. So, instead of trying to go through the mess of contacting customer service, I went ahead and patched it up with some needle and string and tape. WARMTH: It gets EXTREMELY COLD or EXTREMELY WARM. In the mornings, it is so incredible hot and there is just not enough ventilation. The entire top is mesh but that lets in more sun and more burning hot rays. At night, it is soooo cold. The mesh top with all the gaps between the cover don’t help at all. I wished every night the top could just be zipped up like the other “windows”. I highly recommended a sweater and a heavy blanket to stay warm at night. The temperature is just right for about 2-3 hours a day, but that’s it. PETS: At first, my small shih-tzu was very nervous of this giant russling plastic thing, but he soon grew to love it. OVERALL: Yeah, I would recommend it for basic camping needs.

  • BEST CAMPING PURCHASE EVER! You'll love this cot. Go ahead and drop it in your cart and come back to read the rest of my review. Trust me, it's worth it. Assuming you've put this in your cart, here we go... I am pretty picky when it comes to my sleeping conditions. My husband and I have a memory foam hybrid mattress at home, so when we decided to go on a camping trip I told him we had to find something comfortable to sleep on. I was tired of the money pit that air mattresses are- they always ALWAYS deflate and I have yet to find one that holds up for more than a handful of nights- even if it's on a clean, flat floor in our home. I began researching cots and came across these. I am so happy I did! The pad that comes on top is really comfortable and the canvas portion of the cot has a lot of give, so it feels much more like a bed. We purchased two of these and will be using them pushed together. When two are pushed together they almost make a queen size bed. colemandiscount.com must have heard the complaints about the packaging these are shipped in because ours came in two very durable cardboard boxes. If you are tired of air mattresses and such or are needing a portable bed of sorts, THIS IS IT! **UPDATE 8-25-2017** These cots are STILL AMAZING! We have toted these things around many places and had many overnight guests sleep on them. They are still by far the most comfortable portable bed option. Despite currently being 38 weeks pregnant, I still find these cots to be wonderfully comfortable and have slept on them several times throughout my pregnancy. Thanks for an awesome product, Coleman! *February 2022 Update*—Still awesome. These things have gotten a LOT of use over the past 6 years and they are still just as sturdy and comfortable as ever. We have had no issues with the frame, springs or pad. When my children outgrow their toddler cots, we will upgrade them to these as well. These cots are worth the initial investment.

This is the third time I’ve purchased this bag. The first thing I noticed was how light it was. As soon as I got in the bag, I realized it was not as thick as the previous exact same bags. I thought it was odd and I wondered if I ordered the wrong one so I double checked and it’s exactly the same bag as previously. I even ordered it under “order again“ at colemandiscount.com. As I look closer, I realized instead of saying warmth rating down to 40° they added a “dash 60°.” So this lightweight bag that kept me warm when my RV went down into the 40° range is now rated to only keep me warm 60 and above? On top of that the price went up. I will not order this bag again, In fact I plan on replacing it with a similar lightweight but WARM bag. Shame on you, Coleman! I’ve purchased your products my whole life. If you’re gonna make a a thinner and less warm bag, then you should at least charge us less, not more and make sure we know that when we order the exact same thing from colemandiscount.com. I’m betting don’t even know the difference yet.
