My dad gifted me his old Coleman 228H from 1973 and it needed some TLC. I got the new generator and mantles installed, then it fired right up!

I took the tent camping thinking it will be ok but once we opened it we realized one side of the tent was assembled backwards which caused it to not extend out properly so one side of the tent had to be tide to something so it won’t lean. I was pissed. I returned it immediately when I got home from camping thank goodness I didn’t let it ruin my trip.

Works as advertised, fits very well, doesn't shift under weight and the straps..... even though they go unter the lid, don't interfere with the coolers ability to seal or cool well and the lid stays snug, maybe more snug after the cushion is installed. I use this as a boat seat in my center console Carolina Skiff, and the pad is very firm, not mushy or soft. BTW, this is the 29" X 14.75" cushion

I absolutely love this chair! I’m a big guy 325 lbs and this chair by Coleman is easy to setup, and the height of and strength of this folding chair is absolutely amazing. Its easy to get up from. And I don’t feel the bar digging into my legs. It’s definitely worth the buy. Thankyou Coleman I’m looking forward to putting this chair to use this summer.

First, as others have mentioned, the item description is a tad misleading as only the 4 panel lights are rechargeable, not the base itself which is powered by 8 D-Cell Batteries. With the batteries installed, the lantern is considerably heavy, probably not suited for any kind of backpacking endeavor. Hopefully, the pictures will adequately show the different light levels, which are decent, but it's the versatility that really makes the product shine (see what I did there?). The detachable panels are great for slipping into the side pockets of tents or using a carabiner to dangle from the ceiling. The "flashlight" function of the panels, though functional, are impractical and will most likely never be used. Note: I went ahead and purchased 8 rechargeable batteries based on another review. However, unlike that individual, I did not need to make any modifications to the device for the batteries to work. I originally thought the price seemed a little steep, but then this arrived and I could see why it's so pricy - this is very nice! I've owned many foldable chairs over the years, and this is the nicest one. Not only is it from a brand that I know and trust, but it's also taller and wider than many others I've owned. My 6ft, 250 lb husband has no trouble sitting in this, and he finds it very cozy. There are no arms, which may be a bonus for you if you're looking for something more spacious, or a negative if you want a spot to put your arms. There is a (lame) cupholder on the side, which would hold a water bottle or something else with a lid on the to. And the whole thing folds down with ease, so it's simple to store away. I'm very happy with the quality so far, and this looks like it will hold up well in the long run.

It holds 94 cans and the ice seems to last longer. The top will not fully open if the handles is in the tote positions.

Returning it, unfortunately. It is too big, bulky, and heavier than what I'm looking for. Also, not very true about color description, it looks more brown and the green is not the same as shown in the picture. It doesn't come with a sack to stuff in either. However! Seems and feels like a very warm sleeping bag.

IMPORTANT please read - 12-18-2022 Update - It's accurate about the thin aluminum grate warping during use. Pictured is another per-camping test with a heavy GSI 36 cup percolator coffee pot. Burner output is great, but it took about 30 minutes in 40 degree F ambient temp to come to a boil. After the stove cooled, I noticed that the grill grate had drawn (bowed into the burner) about 1/8" in the center. Don't know if it was due to constant high heat, weight, or both. End result is that this cooling grate should be a thicker cast iron... A fantastic portable propane stove + grill, but now I know why a solid griddle is not offered. The grilling burner needs air / ventilation to properly/ safely operate (see photos). Using anything larger than a 9" Lodge cast iron pan will create a combustion air deficit, resulting in propane flames collecting in the grilling pit area and coming up beyond the stove around the 10-1/2" X 10-10-1/2" Lodge reversable grilling pan and Lodge 12" solid griddle. See photos. This is not a manufacturer defect or error, but it is a different setup compared to standard home gas stoves where the burners have plenty of ventilation with the raised grates to the stove top surface. I just did the physical tests. Have no regrets about the purchase and look forward to years of use

Did not receive 8 Mantels. Only received 2 packages of 2 mantels.

I have seen in the comments that some have not cared for this stove... I say that they may not be using the stove at it was intended! I used a mess kit very similar to this every day for the close to 20 something years I was HOMELESS! It work great with my Esbit pocket stove and fuel tabes... It is made of thin aluminum in order to boil water and cook food quickly, you will not be able to cook a five course meal on it, but you can have a hot meal pretty quick.... This set is not non-stick so oil or butter should be used to help with clean and if near a beach a little sand always helped me with the clean up to remove stuck food😊 this set should not be place directly on an open camp fire without a grill over the fire, but used with a small grill and close monitoring it has always worked for me... I bought this,June of lst year as a replacement for my other mess kit that was stolen from me in case I am,camping or homeless again and should need to have my one hot meal a day!

I don't even know where to start with this sweet tent. First of all, I am writing this review because I was SUPER annoyed that NOBODY could give the inside dimensions of the 4 person, not including the porch. It looks like it is 7' x 8' by my measurement. from the end of the porch to the back of the tent is 7' with the width being 8'. This made it even MORE perfect as we have more room on the sides. Now, I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. This adorable little Hobbit Hole has a screened tent and one of the few where it is entirely enclosed. We have a very curious little Australian Shepherd that loves to get up close and personal with critters and often refuses to come into the tent. She just wants to sleep outside. Note that she is EXTRA fuzzy and sheds all year long and is always warm. Add to her conundrum of loving camping but being miserable that we had to jam her dog bed between the air mattress and the tent edge, she would be restless and end up kicking us out of bed. This little screen porch allows us to keep her fully enclosed while allowing her to stay cool and have her all-night-critter-stake-out. So you're thinking, whatever... you live in Arizona... How does this badboy hold up in the rain? Well, last night, an insane monsoon rolled in. We are talking high winds, crazy rain and hail, lightnings and rivers of water running under the tent. I had already emptied a can of Kiwi water repellant (the heavy duty camp one) on the rain fly and the seams so water was beading off of it. I was able to observe where water was hitting hardest during the gales. No leaks. We stayed in the tent for the worst of the wind so it wouldn't blow away, expecting the tie downs to pop out and the fly to at least do just that. Flyyyyy. Nope. After 45 minutes, boyfriend, Fuzzy Aussie and I headed up to the house and hoped for the best. It did rain throughout the night on and off. This morning, it was bone dry. I let it dry and then unzipped all the windows and sprayed another can of kiwi water proofing directly into the outside facing windows (and not through the screen) since that is where the fly doesn't really cover. We didn't have issues at all. It dries fast and odorless and it is just worth it to invest in a couple of cans of this magical spray and go to town. Massive difference. 5 stars all the way. I gave a 4 for durability because despite putting a tarp underneath it, the mesh bottom for drainage has a tiny hole from a rock (which I will sew together) and one of the inside door tie-backs came off the first time I tried to snap it on. Looks like it wasn't sewn together properly. I'll sew that on and good to go. But holey schnikeys, this tent is super sweet. We upgraded the tent pegs because no offense Coleman but those janky wire looking pegs haven't impressed anyone since the 60s. Just no. Our setup: - Coleman 4 person cabin style tent with screened porch - Eurmax heavy duty tent stakes (worth the investment) - Kiwi Camp Dry Heavy Duty Water Repellant - REDCAMP Large waterproof 4 in 1 Camping Tarp (we like a tarp under the tent) Like a bloody CHARM! I couldn't get the Fuzzy Australia Shepherd OUT of the tent for a change. And the little porch is even MORE amazing than I expected.

I'm new to solo camping and this tent is perfect! I'm a car camper, so size is not an issue for me. I've used it a few times so far, once with a friend as well. It's very large and roomy alone and a perfect size for 2 with enough room to move around a bit. Not quite tall enough to stand up in for me. I am 5'9. But it's tall enough to stand hunched to get dressed. The rain fly works great and kept me dry in the rain on my last trip! It's super easy to set up on my own as someone not used to setting up tents. I use it with a tent carpet flooring. The vestibule is handy, but the little door mat it comes with is useless. My only complaint is that it's pretty much impossible for me to get it all back in the bag it comes in. I'm sure that's pretty par for the course, so I'm not docking any stars for it.

I ordered 3 packs of #20 coleman mantles. What I received angered me. 1 pack of #21 mantles plus 2 packs of opened #20 mantle packs with the #20s replaced with #21s. Some one worked very hard to remove and replace the mantles with little cuts in the original packaging, as to not cause suspicion. It was not an accident, it was an obvious intent to decive. I hope this is not standard practice for this company, and is just a bad apple employee. I have returned and reordered them, and will update on the new order as a social experiment. Update: received new mantles. All factory packed, no signs of tampering. Opened new pack of #20s and compared size to a new pack of #21s. There the same size, so I weight them, same +/- a fraction. So i dont know whats going on, but not the sellers fault. Anyways, i do know that if you want #20s just order the cheaper #21s, cause thats what your going to get. Ill give the seller 4*, just because no fault of there own. See photo, 2 are the #20s and 2 are #21s.
