   My old Coleman Powerhouse Unleaded 428 was a gift from my father in law several years ago. It worked well for a year or 2 but eventually I couldn’t get any air pressure into the fuel tank. I put it aside and kept it in the garage somewhere collecting dust and grime. A few days ago I rediscovered it when I was cleaning out the garage and decided to get my YouTube Certification on fixing the thing. Found this part, easy swap using just a pair of pliers (also used some 3-in-1 oil to lube up the rubber piece). It was a much tighter fit than the old one, and after the requisite 35 pumps, the tank was fully pressurized, and she started right up! Gas was probably several years old too…. (note that the new one comes with some black plastic thingy that I didn’t need, and see in one picture how the old rubber thingy is kinda flat. The new one is flared outward for a nice seal)

   30年物のガソリンランタン286.288に使用。
   ５秒で火が消えるようになってしまったので、ジェネレータは先日交換済みゆえにとりあえずボロいプランジャーを交換してみました。
   それでしっかり点灯するようになりましたし、何より必要ポンピング回数がめっちゃ減りました。
   新品ってこんなに違うんですね…

    I have a Coleman gas lantern and had been using it for many years and work just fine, until this year when I took it to Camping not testing and not knowing it will let me down, when got to camp tried to pump it and it won’t pump and can’t lit the lantern, good thing I brought a cordless lantern for a backup. when got back home did a little research from youtube and all I need is to replaced the plunger pump and that’s what I did and now it works just fine. lesson learned for the next camping.
