   A good cot for car camping. I wouldn’t want to use it for backpacking but it is comfortable and fairly easy to set up. The canvas material is somewhat hard to stretch at first to set up but it seems to relax after a few times of using it. I’d recommend a foam sleeping pad to make it more comfortable for a better sleep. Very sturdy and supportive. It was used by a 230 lb person for multiple nights with no complaints

   After developing some back problems- I needed a cot that will enable me to sleep in (relative) comfort while camping. there are many cots on the market, some good and some bad- but what i needed was a WIDE cot and one that will be comfy- not too tight and not too soft. The coleman is just that. It is very wide and It is very easy to open. if you will also get a large sleeping pad – you got yourself a decent bed. CONS: *heavy. this is no lightweight. takes some space if you don’t own a pickup. Its weight and size are an issue in my jeep. *Not easy to install. I have read about the pole placement issue. and I have seen the videos. and the truth is somewhere in between…. It does not require brute force to assemble- however it does take a fairly large amount of force. some say you need to place your foot on the poles. It works- but then its hard to place the specific anchor point into the small hole cause well….my foot is not a hand. But this is no deal breaker – you just have to know that this will take some time. PROS: * Will fit inside a coleman 4 person quick pitch tent * you can sit up on the bed and use it almost like a chair * COMFY. how cool is it to be away from home and still sleep in a bed * WIDE: this is important. many Cots are not wide- or the manufacturer calculates the poles in the general width. this is as wide as coleman says. It is also long. STURDY: unlike some knockoffs this is a quality product. this will last.

   Worked perfectly for my tent camping needs. I used an 31″ wide covered memory foam mattress I already had, it’s comfy. I’m a senior and seeing all the complaints about setting the end pieces, I used the rubber/foam HANDLE ENDS of a large wrench (closed) between cot and end bar to pry and pivot the end pieces into place. That avoids making scratches on coated metal parts of cot. Had the ends attached in 5 minutes. Refolding and getting into its carrier bag took a little longer…but not over 10 minutes. I’m very satisfied with price, sturdiness, and ease of use.

   10/10 recommend this cot. I’m a masters student that does constant fieldwork, and this cot has had zero issues in the last year since I bought it. Recently I was caught in a severe thunderstorm in the field and had to abandon the cot until the next day. Photo is post thunderstorm. No damage!

   Just took this camping over the weekend. This thing is STURDY! I’m 6’3 285lbs, there’s no give to this product. I will say that since there is no give l, I would suggest a memory foam topper for some cushion. If you have a bad back. The canvas material is almost military grade. Will buy a few more of these.

   This cot has steel frame side bar and it’s sturdy compared to other cots with aluminium frame which might bend after few usages . Initially it’s hard to fit the bars at first time and after couple of nights it’s better than the first attempt as the canvas stretches a bit . Of course it might need a mattress for good night sleep but for this price its really worth for $$ . Could improve the stitching a little better but so far it’s holding good . Perfect for camping in 4/6 person tents . Worth to buy for long lasting Coleman military cots . Would buy it again .

   Pros : best value for money , sturdy cot with steel frames compared to other military cots (
   Alluminium frames ) .

   Future Improvements needed : Better stitching , pivot arms to place bars , wheeled storage bag ,

   Overall it’s a better cot compared to others in the market and hope it’s definitely last long for multiple nights . Would buy it again . Best bang for the buck !!!! .

   I bought this specifically for camping in the back of my 2013 Ford Transit Connect XLT and it fits perfect. Enough height underneath to fit a storage bin. Every bit of storage is very important when trying to live in such a small space so getting my 4″ trifold cot sized matress off the floor and being able to utilize the space underneath is a huge game changer for me. I decided not to attach the foot and head bars to save me some space and it works just fine without them. This allows me to push my drivers seat all the way back if I want to stretch or to get into the back without exiting the van. In case someone is looking to do a similar no build build in a compact cargo van…a 45 quart Rtic cooler fits perfectly right next to this cot with enough room to open and close. Then in front of the cooler I put my Jackery 2000 and topped it with a collapsible sink.

    We have used these for the past couple of camping trips we’ve taken. Keeps you off the ground, and keeps you dry. It’s easy to set up. There is no sag in it. It is stiff so a thick blanket under you would help(especially when its 40 or below). This was the second time purchasing do to needing 2 more. They are hefty; so not recomended for hikning. However, if you only have to walk back and forth unloading a vehicle, they are quite portable. I definately recomend this to those who want more stability than an air mattress but not the primitave mats.

    Strong and solid cot. Excellent quality steel frame and cloth. I should have paid more attention to all the reviews. In addition to the reviews I read, I only viewed one video which showed just minor difficulty in snapping the 2nd crossbar into place. After I received this cot and needed to put it together in a tight space, I watched some more videos. Most of them described a lot of difficulty snapping in that last piece, as well as how hard it was to take apart to collapse. Difficult doesn’t begin to describe my experience. I finally used a hammer handle as a makeshift prybar for leverage, and even then it was a huge struggle to snap in the last piece. I don’t look forward to trying to take it apart. I’m a bit afraid of injuring myself to be honest. I’m a 5’2″ 70+-year-old female, moderately strong. I always dislike it when instructions or reviews mention that assembly would be better (or best) with two people. I don’t understand why products intended for one person can’t be better engineered to make setup easier if you have to do it solo. I purchased this to put in the front half of my 23-ft vintage camper while a leaky roof in the midsection is being repaired — a semi-emergency situation. Although I would like to fold and unfold it for sleeping because my space is so small, I can’t do that easily enough to risk not being able to set it up each night. I am able to turn it on its side temporarily so I can get past it, but it’s still an obstruction. When my roof situation is resolved and I can fold up the cot longterm, it is actually very space-efficient when inside the included canvas case. One other review mentioned putting it back in the case was hard to do. At first glance, that’s probably true, but I will cross that bridge if I come to it. In retrospect, I should have ordered a narrower cot, however I will keep this. At least it’s excellent quality, and will give me a comfortable night’s sleep when I add some comforters for padding and warmth. The only other thing I should mention is that there are some odd scratches on the underside of the cloth, and some faint blemishes on the bottom of the carry case. This makes me wonder if it was a return, or if the underside scratches are just from the legs scraping against it when folding/unfolding. Hopefully, the scratches don’t compromise the strength of the cloth.

    Sturdy when set up. Works okay without pad, but squeaks when you move. Super comfy with 4 inch slim foam mattress, 90% of a good bed, long as your okay with rolling in place. You might get away with 2″ of foam, although I’m not sure that would be easy to find. I find the squeaking pretty irritating. Solid performer, though you need some upper body strength to set up. The cross bars set the tension, and don’t have any type of tool. I brute force it because I can, not sure what I’d do if I wasn’t strong enough. Would be time to get clever.

    The cot is great and strong. Really durable . It is on the heavy side and the bars that hold it in place are hard to put on and hard to take off. Set up was easy just the bars at each end. I would replace the little plastic caps they have at each end and put in a locking mechanism pin of some sort.
