   A great product. I really like carrying the remote in my pocket so I can turn the lights on/off from the camp fire or where ever. If someone needs something in the tent, I simply click the lights on so you can see the tent from a distance, see the zipper, etc. The fan is also a great feature. Took off a star because the blades are Styrofoam and they get bent out of place and make some noise. So you have to bend them back in place. Not a huge deal, but would have preferred a hard plastic. Also, the remotes will need a new battery. I sent the first one back and the 2nd one came with a bad battery as well. So just bought a new battery and it works great.

   Definitely nice to be able to see in the dark without attracting bugs. Need the fan to cool down at night.

   I assume anyone reading this or thinking of purchasing has camped in the heat before and experienced what it’s like waking up inside of an easy bake oven. I purchased this item for Bonnaroo 2010 to hopefully make 4 days living in 90+ degree temperatures somewhat bearable. I had hoped to delay the inevitable of waking up at the crack of dawn and getting another hour or so of much needed sleep. There would be no such luck as the fan blade assembly came off of the shaft after just an hour of use!! I reattached the blade assembly and as you can imagine within a few minutes it was off the shaft again.

   The assembly is plastic with foam fan blades, light enough to maintain longer battery life but not designed for longevity. A simple grub screw and a flat spot filed on the shaft would have easily corrected this problem.

   I imagine most will be sent back and they’ll be available on discount sites in the near future. Save your money and look for a solution elsewhere.

   But the remote does not seem to be worth a damn. It blinks when I hit the button but nothing happens. When I press the button on the actual unit it seems fine. All this is said with only 20 minutes of total usage. I will update the review after this weekends campout. I hope to review it up.

   Works great, we use it in a tree house I built to keep it cool in there. The light part works great so my son does not have to get out of his sleeping bag to turn off the light with the remote.

   The fan is a little noisy and the whole unit is a larger than I expected. However, this is an awesome fan and light for a tent and the only unit i could find that has a remote control! It was so awesome to show off to all my camping buddies that I can push a button from a distance and my tent will light up 🙂 This unit is 12V and I have converted it to use a car 12V socket or to be connected directly to the car battery or to use the D cell battery pack. I had 2 main issues with it though: 1. Remote control battery was dead. 2. The power button on the D cell battery pack was broken. I had replaced the battery in the remote no problem and fixed the button with relative ease… Until another model comes out that has a remote control – this is the best option for a fan and light unit for your tent!

   Thing did not last. Purchased toward the end of summer 2016, not used much tried it in April 2017 did not work replaced batteries and it still did not work. Don’t waste your money, absolutely no good.
