   Spent 5 days deep in the mountains off road camping & fishing ! Cooked all our meals and many pots of coffee with ease ! High heat burner boils water in no time at all and heat control works perfect to control the flame ! Fast and easy setup ! Metal is alittle thin and dents easy but for the price it’s worth it ! Just wish it was in the classic Coleman green I grew up with but that’s my only issue and that’s ok in my book !

   It’s been a long time since I’ve been camping, but I know that gear wears out over time. So this review is after a two day/one weekend use. Everything works great! I’m happy with the purchase. I especially like going with the option of the grill/stove combo. Was a bit worried about some of the negative reviews showing the grill melting, but it appears that people were putting large skillets on the grill and the fire/heat had nowhere to go. Use the grill for what it is…a grill, and I imagine it will be fine and should last a long time.

   Coleman Camp Propane Grill/Stove+ We wanted something quick to light and not have to worry about any hot coals left over. This double duty Grill & Stove is quite versatile and seems to be a great fit for when we need the occasional camp meal. We tested it out in the backyard and grilled up some brats and onions and it did a very good job. When we need to pan fry something or boil or heat in a pot we can use the single burner. The side panels act as small shelves, or can do double duty as wind screens when clipped to the cover. The only two items I wish was better is the gas control does not have a lot of range. That is a very slight turn can get the flame from low to high with just a tweak, but once figured out it stays where it is put. The other is the grill top itself is rather light weight; don’t go banging it around. It is nice to have the built in sparker, and not need to hunt up matches. Comes with a nice little drip tray that can be removed and washed out. Toss a layer of tinfoil under the grill and there is no clean up mess to the grill pan itself. This is our first propane cooker (our last Coleman was the inimitable double burner Coleman white gas stove bought some 20+ years ago.) We are very please with this Grill/Stove.

   we took it out for a camping weekend, and our 2 in one coleman stove boils water well, and i really like the option of grilling at the same time. i had a hard time using the ignitor, until i figured out that i could use my right thumb while having my fingers in the handle on the underside of the unit…. they could make some improvements! currently the valves go from 0 to 11 in 1/8th of a turn, which makes fine adjustment difficult. it is easy to turn it completely off when looking for a simmer….. also, the burner on the left is extremely noisy, remember the old white gas stoves? same, sounds liken a mini rocket, lol! you may also want to remove the gas cylinder when not in use, as there is no “off” setting on the regulator, and if you nudge one of the valves they can open easily…. otherwise it seems like a reasonably well made product if the plastic legs and drip tray hold up!

   For a multi-purpose propane stove, this does a fantastic job. There are a couple of caveats, though: While the grill area is a good size, you have to be careful with how well you have the grease trap inserted into the brackets below the unit, or you might get gunk all over. Also, the pot/pan burner is very good, but it’s very close to the left-hand wind panel, so for larger pots or pans you’ll have to detach it from the lid and lay it down.

   That said, it’s easy to use, decently easy to clean up, versatile to cook on, and collapses down for carrying fairly well. If I could make one recommendation to Coleman to improve – put a clip (maybe on the inside of the lid) to attach the propane stem for storage and carrying. The unit ships with the stem under the grill, and it makes a hell of a racket when you carry it around like that.

   I use this to make burgers n chicken while everybody else is off picking their nose in the concession line. The burner is great for some rice n beans, and then rip some asparagus on the grille. I use a piece of aluminum foil in the pit so cleanup is literally seconds, and shove the grille itself into a stink proof bag and clean it later. I’m probably the most popular person at the show after my magic tricks, and if you dispute that, fight me. I’m right here bruhhh bring it.

    IMPORTANT please read – 12-18-2022 Update – It’s accurate about the thin aluminum grate warping during use. Pictured is another per-camping test with a heavy GSI 36 cup percolator coffee pot. Burner output is great, but it took about 30 minutes in 40 degree F ambient temp to come to a boil. After the stove cooled, I noticed that the grill grate had drawn (bowed into the burner) about 1/8″ in the center. Don’t know if it was due to constant high heat, weight, or both. End result is that this cooling grate should be a thicker cast iron… A fantastic portable propane stove + grill, but now I know why a solid griddle is not offered. The grilling burner needs air / ventilation to properly/ safely operate (see photos). Using anything larger than a 9″ Lodge cast iron pan will create a combustion air deficit, resulting in propane flames collecting in the grilling pit area and coming up beyond the stove around the 10-1/2″ X 10-10-1/2″ Lodge reversable grilling pan and Lodge 12″ solid griddle. See photos. This is not a manufacturer defect or error, but it is a different setup compared to standard home gas stoves where the burners have plenty of ventilation with the raised grates to the stove top surface. I just did the physical tests. Have no regrets about the purchase and look forward to years of use

    To lower the flame on the grill side turn the right knob upwards slowly to the point that it will pass their indicator tip. Even after grilling one burger pattie it makes a good mess so line up the bottom area very well w/foil. I replaced the aluminum grill w/a cast iron one from another vendor. It’s a good portable, looking forward to grill chicken, fish 🙂
