   I bought this last summer because I was going to a campsite that did not allow fire grills. It worked perfectly. I had it up and running in minutes and was able to cook quite a bit of food.

   It is light weight, and easy to carry (I recommend buying a carry bag for it as well). easy to operate and having two burners really help.

   Would be nice to have a built in lighter, but it is ok., just make sure you have a lighter or match with you

   Also , to keep the unit clean, i recommend using foils to cover the base and the surrounding plates. or keep it clean with a wet towel after each use.

   I will definitely keep this handy in my future camping trips. You can even use this for cooking if you have space constraint in your kitchen.

   I’m temporarily living in a condo while I renovate a home I will move in to. I like grilled foods – steaks, burgers and especially vegetables. The smoke created means grilling on the cooktop in the kitchen is out, but I couldn’t justify lugging a big, full size gas grill through to my condo-sized patio. I decided to give this one a go and for one or two people, it’s great! It gets plenty hot and mine has a good range of control from blazing to a low simmer. (I was using it in a protected area with no wind.) The grill is definitely non-stick – must be careful not to chase the food right off the edge. As for the aluminum grill that I see has problems in some reviews, I don’t think it was designed for sustained high heat below a pan or griddle. For grilling, it is fine, but I did find a cast iron duplicate grill grate right here on colemandiscount.com ( https://www.colemandiscount.com.com/dp/B0CY84JRQ9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ) which will definitely work if you want to put a big pot or griddle over the grill side. I bought an 10.5 inch Lodge brand grill pan (https://www.colemandiscount.com.com/dp/B0000CF66W?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details )which fits just right also and is great for searing vegetables which would fall through the grill. Lodge also makes a 10.5 inch square skillet which would work perfectly as a griddle or fry pan. The lightweight aluminum cooks steaks or burgers perfectly, but cast iron will hold up for more sustained heat. Overall, I can’t find anything to complain about with this little camp stove/grill combo. Everything worked as it should and I’ll be taking it for a tailgating trip very soon.

   I’ll say the differences between the various models of Coleman grille/stove combos is very mysterious. Best I can tell, this grille/stove has more controllable valves, but DOES NOT have a starter capability. I was confused and expected that to be a feature on the stove we ordered. Overall, I am happy with the grill, but Coleman REALLY NEEDS to figure out a griddle for this series as an add-on option. I bought one from colemandiscount.com branded as Victoria out of Columbia that fit on. But would be that much better of a camp grill if I could buy a griddle that dropped right in. Coleman… are you reading this?? **** Update After A Few Camping Trips **** I must say I really like the combination of simplicity and functionality this grille/stove offers. As I noted above, I am still wishing/hoping that Coleman gets off their butts and makes a griddle that drops into the grille side. A note about propane connection: I never intended to buy 1lb bottles for this grille/stove and bought an adapter hose to connect to 20lb propane tanks from the start. My Passport Ultra-light has a quick disconnect port on the propane system – here’s the rub: Coleman doesn’t make an adapter for this connecting to a low-pressure propane system. If you’re asking what I mean in your head… The camper already has a regulator at the tongue mounted propane tank “center.” Connecting at the quick-disconnect to the existing 1lb bottle “arm” means I now have two regulators in line…. this results in too low of a pressure to run the grille/stove. Coleman, you’re clearly not listening (because no griddle yet for the grille/stove) but if you are … we also need an adapter to connect the grille/stove directly to a low-pressure propane system. Please and thank you! Still 4 stars, great for what it’s great at!

   This is a GREAT stove—I absolutely LOVE it and find it to be the perfect combination of grill and burner. There are two things to note though. First of all, the grill is NOT cast iron (as noted in the description), so I highly recommend you get the cast iron grill also sold on colemandiscount.com that is made for this grill. The metal grill is horrible in my opinion, and I’ve heard too many horror stories about it melting when putting a kettle or pan on it (so I’ve not tried that myself). The cast iron grill adds a lot of weight, but it’s totally worth it for the benefits in my opinion.

   The second thing to note is that this stove does NOT have a push-button ignition. Not a big deal, but most Coleman stoves I’ve had come with electric ignition and I assumed this one did as well.

   Again, this is a wonderful stove that gives you the best of both worlds when camping—just make the cast iron upgrade and be sure to have a lighter on hand!

   I’m pretty new to camping, and the first time I went I just used a tailgating grill I already had. It worked ok, but when this item went on sale at the start of the season I jumped at it, largely based on the positive reviews and its 2-in-one grill/burner capability. I made the mistake of not taking it out of the box until the first time we went camping several weeks later. At that time, I found defects in the grill pan surface, shown in the first photo which I took right at the camp site. I didn’t bring a backup so I had to cook on it: the little divots in the metal surface naturally collected gunk, and they were sharp enough that the paper towel got shredded when I was cleaning it. colemandiscount.com to the rescue: even though I had already used the grill, they graciously accepted the return of the unit and sent me a replacement for the same sale price. This time I made sure to open it as soon as I got it…and it had the same defects. In fact, the replacement unit might even be worse, as shown in the next two pictures which are of the new unit as I was unboxing it. As noted, the defects affect the cleanup, but they don’t affect the cooking. Unfortunately this unit doesn’t cook very well. – The burner side cannot fit a 10″ pot or pan as advertised when the burner-side wind protector/support is connected. Not even close. If you have a small teapot or percolator you can assemble it as shown on the front of the box but if you use an actual 10″ pot on the burner, you can’t set up the side flap. – The grill heats very unevenly. The heat down the middle of the grill grate is very hot even on low, and unusably hot when turned up past that. You’ll be tempted to turn it up it, because as soon as you venture a little way from the center there seems to be no heat at all. I’m experienced on both gas and charcoal grills, and cooking on this thing was an exercise in futility because of this wild unevenness. Don’t try to cook a thick chicken breast: to get the center to temp you’ll turn the outside to char. Even if you butterfly it or use other cuts of meat, plan to move the food around constantly to make up for its inconsistency. Overall I was extremely disappointed in both the workmanship and the performance of this product. The grill is so poor that I wish I had just bought a simple two-burner stove. The defects in not one but two units are such that when I do replace it, it won’t be with another Coleman product.

   We purchased this combination grill/stove to replace two separate items, a BBQ and a dual burner camp stove. It has worked well in both capacities for us, and has allowed us to greatly save on space in the car.
   Most of our camp cooking was one pot meals, so the second burner on our old stove was rarely used.
   We also BBQ quite a bit when camping, so having a reasonably sized grill was a must have. This grill will accommodate two peoples food with ease. To make cleaning easier, we lined the BBQ side with foil.
   I would recommend this combination stove.

   Great size for grilling for a small family. Tonight my husband let the Grease cup get too full and it caught fire. Even with the gas turned off, flames were 2 ft high! Once it died out, we found a large hole in the cast aluminum grate where the metal had melted! Fortunately he was cooking outside on a metal table so the grate was the only casualty. With a melting point over 1000 F it was definitely HOT

    Took this gem camping and thrilled at how easy it was to use. No problem grilling sausages, burgers, corn, and kabobs! Also used the burner to sauté veggies and make eggs and French toast in the morning. Super easy to use and very compact. Great purchase and a life saver when there is a fire ban deep in the woods!     Love it, very convenient and works great! Went to the beach last weekend and it fed 18 people!!! I actually bought mine from a different store and then ended up ordering one from colemandiscount.com for a friend. I would recommend using foil underneath the burner to keep it clean, when finished using it, you can simply remove the foil and toss it. Make sure to cut a hole for the grease to drain. Anytime we go out for a picnic, we bring it with us instead of using the ones at the park. Often people at the park stop by and ask where we bought it from!

    I receive to incentives or compensations for the reviews I write.
    This works great for my needs. I originally purchased it for use in power outages during hurricane season. Florida is “mostly” electric. We don’t have natural gas lines running to our homes.
    I’ve found myself using this all the time for “general” grilling. My regular grill is charcoal (which I prefer over gas) – but stoking it up for some hotdogs or a couple hamburgers is tiresome. It’s nice to fire this up for grilling some fish without stinking up the house too.
    The little side burner is great for heating water for coffee / tea.
    The inner surface is a nice non-stick, so cleaning has just been a quick wipe down.
    I really can’t think of any “cons” – when considering its intended purposes. Well, ok.. maybe it would have been nice if the lid’s “prop” didn’t rely on the side wind screens – other than that? – it’s “all good”.
