   We camp out on our property very frequently. Super-heavy sleeping bags can be too warm, requiring opening them up throughout the night. This seemed like a great buy for an extra thermal layer that isn’t too bulky–and it is. Our problem with this bag is that it’s advertised as over 6-feet in length–enough for the shorter members of our household. The first night camping outside, our oldest woke us up complaining of cold feet. The blanket was too short to cover his shoulders AND his feet. But he’s only 5’9″ so we thought he was mistaken. I took out an inch tape to measure the length of the blanket flattened out inside his tent (sorry for the dark). You can see from the bottom/top photos the blanket barely stretches out to 69 inches–well below the advertised length. Once the blanket pulls up over a body, it would obviously be quite a bit less than 69 inches. The bag is great at adding a bit of extra insulation (better than a quilt) but it’s better for people shorter than 5’9″. Would work well for kids on a sleepover or camping trip. We have to return this as our kids are all too tall for this bag.

   Just like the title says! I purchased this sleeping bag for my 11 year olds 6th grade camp. I figured for the cost I shouldn’t expect much. However, it really is a good sleeping bag. My daughter actually preferred this one vs the back up we bought because this one was running late. When it arrived here Sunday before the day for 6th grade camp, I had her take it out and see if it was comfy. She liked it! She said it was a lot more comfy than the other Coleman Bannack we bought. Now when she tried to roll this thing and put it in the bag… oh Lord Jesus that thing was like an anaconda going everywhere! I helped her roll it, and still nothing. It’s not even hot where we live and we were both sweating buckets! It’s now Tuesday and I am proud to say I won this battle and got it back into its bag…the zipper I am not willing to try and zip up. It’s just gonna have to stay that way. So to sum it up the sleeping bag is comfy but it’ll take you time to get it back into the bag.

   Warm and comfortable. Coleman considered many aspects in the design of this bag. The zipper is designed to not bind with the fabric – it has comfortable fabric around the head and neck – it feels sturdy, warm and comfortable – and don’t miss the hidden velcro pouch just inside the upper opening where you can store keys, wallet, cell hone, or other important property. Because this is made with synthetic material, it probably weighs more and may not pack down to as small as a down bag would, but it still feels light and compresses to a reasonable size. See the attached photo of the bag repacked using the ‘stuffing’ method. Note that I was not able to zip up the packing zipper on the storage bag and I don’t know if the bag will compress enough to allow that after it has been unpacked. It seems that the zipper may be for shelf presentation and not intended for repacking, in my novice opinion.

   These are very fluffy sleeping bags, so as long as you’ve got lots of space on your camping trip these will work. Quality was much better than I expected for the price

   Also the shiny side is squeaky which is a pain. To be honest I’ve gone back to the older light sleeping bag I had that I was hoping this one would replace.

   Bag looks and feels good. I read some reviews saying they couldn’t get the sleeping bag back into the stuff bag that comes with it. I was able to without a problem. However, there is an extra zipper on the outside of the stuff bag that holds the sleeping bag and I cannot zip that up very easily. I give the sleeping bag a 5 star rating, even though I haven’t fully used it yet, and I would give the stuff bag that comes with it a 3 star rating. But given the cheap price I would recommend this sleeping bag. Pictures: I purchased two Coleman Trinidad Sleeping Bags. I opened one and I did not open the other. The smaller one shows the way the sleeping bag comes. My photos will also show the zipper that I can’t seem to zip up after putting the sleeping bag back in the stuff bag.

    We got tired to trying to change sheets on the RV Murphy bed, so we got two of these sleeping bags. Quality sewing, zippers work well, all in all a great bargain!
