While cutting the second 2 inch limb of a dead pine tree the thin plastic handle broke in half. I wasn’t impressed with the way it cut the first one.

Was surprised how thin this saw is, just around 1/2 inch, but seems decently sturdy for the price. Fits nicely in my pack. Does not seem to “bite” as aggressively as other similar saws I have had, but should be ok for branches up to 4in or so. Blade a bit thicker than on my last cheapo, not as flimsy/flexible.

This cuts branches up to 3″ w/o too much effort. It is fairly lightweight and is sturdy.
I use it on hikes (not backbacking yet) just to stop and clean up branches that block the trail (yeah springtime).
Could be a bit heavy for backpacking or such.
Blade is shortish, so a pain on any large branches (but keeps weight down).

If you can get this product on sale, then it may be worth it. Otherwise it is a cheap plastic saw with a cheap plastic latch and and opening mechanism. It is lightweight though for use as an emergency saw in your pack, but just carrying it around it is already all scratched up and loose. Used it a couple times, and handle felt flimsy.

Release sping will pop put of place very easily, it should have been glued at one end. Very difficult to reset. That being said, the saw is a nice compact length and very sharp

Finally had a chance to use this on a camping trip and it worked fine. Lightweight and very effective at cutting anything up to easily 3 inches wide. I do notice a screw and bolt holding it together at the pivot point. I’ll have to keep any eye on that and make sure it doesn’t loosen over time.

Great product for the price. Certainly not the best on the market but for $15 you can’t go pat it. Bought this to replace my other one that was lost.
