   Replaced original 1 piece that finally got rusty. For this $65 pair LOL. Fits good, heavy, seems ok. Will cook on it soon. BLOWS my mind how expensive these were!!! $30/ea is way too much!!!!! But to replace the entire unit? $249 ???? Really Coleman? For $250 you can buy a patio BBQ I’m happy withe fit and qualify, disappointed in price.

   I bought this to add to my “outdoor kitchen.” We recently used it camping and made hash browns and fries on it. Even though we forgot cooking oil, the food did not stick to it at all.

    liked the cast iron very much but these are too large for my coleman grill so I cant lock the top. Have had my grill for years and the original plates were aluminum and they do allow the lid to be shut and locked. still like the new ones so will not be locking the grill as original just shutting the lid.

    It fits right on my Coleman Table Top 225 grill. It fits right up against the smaller grate, doesn’t slide around and I can shut the lid all the way. I used it to do salmon and it did great. I don’t know about the porcelain covered cast iron other than it was pretty easy to clean. I guess time will tell. My initial impressions are good though.

    I would have preferred a cast iron only surface, but it is easier to clean off. Just got this tonight along with the 285 and yep… steak on the grills, and eggs and bacon on the griddles. I wish I had found this grill years ago… would have saved headaches through power outages on multiple occasions and these griddles plates work excellent!!! Highly recommend these griddles and the Coleman 285.

    I love my coleman travel grill and it came it a slotted grate and a solid griddle, which now has seen better days. So I wanted to replace it with another grate for this upcoming tailgating season. I figured since this replacement was Coleman it would be the same as the one I have now.
    Fit wise, it’s the same, but the finish is very different. The one I have has a more ceramic finish that makes it easy to clean, where as this one doesn’t have a coating and is more care cast iron. I’m sure it’ll hold up fine, but wanted to point this out in case other have the same coated ones now.

    Smooth as butter, easy to cook on and clean. I’m not going to use any metal utensils on it to keep the finish, it’s perfect for daily outdoor breakfast cooking up here in the Mtns so I don’t have to fire up the wood grill every day. This fits my Roadtrip 285 perfect.

    I replaced both of the old grills, one was badly rusted and one had a broken piece due to dropping it. These new grills fit, box states they are a Coleman product. We have used them but i have covered them with Reynolds grilling foil, so haven’t cleaned them yet. The description states they are porcelain coated and I am hoping this prevents them from rusting, they feel lighter than the older grills, but have not weighed them. I am giving five stars because they are a Coleman product, they fit our nine year old roadtrip bbq perfectly and the regulator still fits on top under the locked lid for travel.
