It’s just garbage. They don’t get a great flame, but what’s worse, they don’t refill either! Or at least the one i got does not. Maybe it’s a blessing as now I’ll get a better one and stop messing with this thing.

this lighter was useless and i ordered quite a few. it’s diffiult to light especially with the mandatory safety switch which is EXTREMELY difficult to use. can’t return via colemandiscount.com and i don’t know why. they shipped it so i should be able to return it. haven’t used. company reached out and i can return it via USPS at my exepense! $13+ …argh!! almost half of the actual cost. Definitely…. this lighter is a Witch to trigger! I bought it in 2014, and it still has plenty of fluid. BECAUSE, I could not finagle the switches and hold the trigger for a flame longer than a few seconds. So, I am ordering another. It is in my wish list until I can find someone to show me HOW to REFILL and the recommended Butane. Same we don’t have manufacturers here, in the U.S.

The Refillable lighter I have is different from the on shown in that it has a lever that must be moved forward and down to get the butane flowing. The trouble is that the lever seemed to be stuck. I tried everything, push before pulling the trigger, pushing the trigger first, but nothing. I was playing around with it, banging it against a couch, and I tried again, and it easily moved forward and down. I released it and it was stuck again. After another 2 – 3 minutes of fiddling, it moved down again. This time I held it and pulled the trigger and it lit with a good flame. Released it and stuck again. The lever seems to be part of a safety feature, maybe childproof, that gets stuck. Perhaps is needs to be pointed down, but I could not find any instructions online. Good company, very poorly designed, and worthless light that I can[t get past the safety. Maybe I should have given it to my 5 year old grandson to try…

I like this lighter. The distance of the flame from the handle is safe.

The rechargeable lighters from the dollar store work better!! You can refill these but the flame is so tiny and it’s really hard to push the button to make it light. I don’t like them at all!!!

Refilled fine, once. But the sparker must have died. The butane comes out just fine, but not lit. Must have used it too often. Like three times. Tried to save on the environment. I expected more from Coleman. It’s a shame that good old reliable brands get bought and turned to crap, or whatever happens. Phooey on Coleman. Phooey on hardware chains that carry this stuff that craps out.
