   This is such a cool product! I haven’t seen a backpack cooler quite like this. I’m including a lot of pictures because in my opinion the official product photos don’t do it justice or explain everything. A few notes: 1. This thing is tall. I am 5’5″ tall, and when I hold it by the handles on top, with my arm down at my side, it just barely grazes the floor. 2. The two water bottle pockets (one on each side) are very roomy. They fit my 32 oz. owala bottle, which is a first. I’m sure they could hold wine bottles too. 3. There are three additional pockets on the outside: one small zippered pocket on the back, above the shoulder straps. This one is small, about the right size for a cell phone, chapstick, and maybe a pair of sunglasses. The second one is the zipper pocket on the bottom front. It has a key hook and a mesh slide pocket. This pocket is tall and wide but pretty flat. I don’t think you could fit anything very bulky in it. And the third one is a mesh slide pocket on the front of the top portion. This pocket doesn’t close, and it’s also very flat Also, when you open the cooler, this pocket tips upside down, and since it doesn’t close at the top, anything inside it could fall out. So I’m not sure what would be best to keep in there. 4. The main body of the backpack is divided into two sections: the bottom section is the cooler (with orange lining), and the top section is non-cooler storage (looks like a little tote bag sitting on top of the cooler). They each have separate zippers, but they do not detach from each other. Each section has a good amount of storage. I think between the two sections, you could fit most of what you’d need for a family outing and picnic. 5. The only weird thing about this, to me, is that to open the cooler section, on the bottom, you end up turning the top section completely upside down. You can see this in one of the photos I’ve included. So you need to make sure the top section is zipped before you unzip the cooler section, or all your stuff will fall out. It’s also a little inconvenient because you can’t easily get into both sections at the same time. If you have the cooler open and you want to get something out of the top storage section, you’d need to close the cooler to open the storage section. And I haven’t experimented with this yet, but I imagine that if you overloaded the top section with heavy items, the whole bag would become a little floppy and unwieldy when opening and closing from being too top-heavy. Despite this minor drawback, I still think this is a 5-star product. It’s a really innovative way to carry a picnic plus a bunch of other necessities in one bag. Based on the product photos, they’re clearly marketing this to moms, which is smart–as a mom who plans lots of outings, I expect to get plenty of mileage out of this product and it will be so nice to be able to fit everything in one backpack rather than juggling a cooler, a backpack, and a tote bag. The quality of the workmanship is good, and it seems comfortable to wear. As a Coleman product, I expect that the cooler portion will do an excellent job keeping everything at the right temperature. I haven’t put this through real-world testing yet, but I will update my review if I run into any problems with comfort or functionality.

   I always like a two storage unit soft sided cooler. This one is great, except as other reviews have said the zippers should be of better quality. I feel like the front pocket zipper is going to break at any moment, even though it’s brand new. Buuut as for the cooling feature, my Items have stayed cold and icy in my bag for a long time. I work in road construction from 4 AM until 6 PM most days so it definitely does its job in that area. Also the top pocket should be a zip pocket also because when you flip the top over to get to the cooler, you have to take everything out of that pocket so it doesn’t spill all over. So overall, Good. But those tweaks could make it Great. 10-24-2024

    This bag is huge, much bigger/taller than the pictures make it seem. It has 2 main sections, the cooler part on the bottom, & regular tote bag on the top. The 1 major drawback for me (& what I didn’t realize from the pictures) is that the 2 sections don’t separate, the zipper goes around 3 of the 4 sides of the bag & they stay attached on one of the longer sides. So if you have a lot of stuff in the top section, it’s gonna be pretty difficult to keep it open sideways to get something oit of the cooler, without tipping the bag over.
    Other than that, this bag has plenty of storage both in the cooler section & regular tote section, & around the bag. It has bottle pockets on each side of the bag, zipped pocket on the front of the bottom section, an open pocket on the front of the top section, & a smaller zippered pocket on the back of the top section.
    It is made of very good quality & seems durable.
