Very bright. I have used to for two camping and it works great.
3 levels to control the light is a plus. Very good for tent and enough to light you sitting area (group of 10+) or camping kitchen area.
Needs 4 D batteries. This model is less bulky and okay compared to one that needs 6D or 8D batteries.

I already have this and took with me when I had to evacuate for hurricane. Went to daughters home and she lost power. I got my lantern out and we used it 2 full days. She only had battery candles. This lantern was great. Bright when you needed it. So bought one for her for Christmas. Mother knows best!😉

Was really looking forward to this latern, cause I had a previous one that lasted me more than 10 years but this one is crap! . Not sure if I got a lemon but it would be nice if I didn’t have to tape the battery pack or move it around so the light stays on.

VERY BRIGHT cool white light. The glass offers no protection from the bright bulb. Luckily I have lots of sunglasses because that is the only way this sucker can be tolerated. If I had it to do over, I’d look for one with warm white light and frosted glass. Gah!!
