   I’ve owned Coleman propane lanterns in the past and had good service at my camp sites. I decided to purchase a new lantern and saw the combo with the carry case included. THE CASE SOLD WITH THE LANTERN IS NOT DESIGNED FOR IT. The model of the lantern is the 1000 Lumen “5155B”. The case compatibility is for “2500, 5150, 5151, 5152, 5153, and 5154. The lantern will fit inside of the case but it does not hold it securely it will move around while the case is latched shut. If you buy the lantern purchase a case separately that is compatible.

   We have a Coleman model 5154 propane gas lantern that this carrying/storage case is used for. Supposedly, the case also fits model numbers 5150; 5151; 5152; and 5153 as well. Check the list of Coleman propane lanterns that it can be used with. A rugged carrying & storage case. The price was reasonable for protection/storage of a lantern.

   Love this case. It is bulky and PAY ATTENTION! IT ONLY FITS CERTIAN SIZES…. I did not pay attention so it dosent exactly fit my lamp..but it’s still good and works great!

   We used a gas Coleman lantern for years. I like the sound of the gas hissing through the generator, but we haven’t used it for years. Picked up a 5154 propane lantern, almost new, at a garage sale on our street a number of years ago.. just the lantern in the box. Planning on going out again this year, so went looking for a Coleman case to protect the lantern. Ebay has a bunch of used ones in the old red design, but it always added up to about $28. This is new, double wall, closes like a clam shell, and takes most of the Coleman propane lanterns. Our 5154 has the sloped, wider top. It fits just fine, along with room for extra mantels (always carry at least one spare!) Turn the hanger so that it’s front to back, not side to side, and the case closes easily and locks shut. This is about the best price I’ve found for a brand new case.

    Very well made box. Can fit your extra mantels and instructions inside as well. Will not hold propane. No padding at all so while it provides outstanding crush protection allowing you to pack your lantern anywhere it will not protect well from shock. I really like the way it folds open. Hopefully the photos with the tape measure will help others decide if it will fit their non Coleman models.
