As someone who collects Coleman lanterns I found these kerosene lanterns to be the brightest of the fuel powered lanterns Coleman manufactures, made right here in the U S. Nice to be able to buy quality products like they used to be made before everything started coming from China. Remember to add a bottle of 90% alcohol when you order one of these because you have to ad a tiny bit to a little cup built into the lantern to pre-heat the generator. Some may find this extra work, to me it just adds to the experience. I likes the first one so much I purchased a second.

This lantern throws tons of light, is easy to use and runs for a long time on a tank of kerosene. Yes you need to prime it with alcohol but a one minute search on u tube will show you how to operate it. It takes a little longer to preheat in -20deg C but boy it sure throws light. Little to no smell once up to temp.
