I purchased two of these because neighbors highly recommended this for black flies. It does work somewhat as a deterrent for them- but the packaging is poor. The bottle leaks and the spray bottle did not work. I did not have time to return and needed fast relief from the bugs!

Can create a stain on sensitive fabrics, be wary of application. Made my skin kind of numb/tingly and that feeling intensified in the sun. It’s good at its job- but certainly requires some caveats for usage. It makes you feel like a big citronella candle which isn’t a bad thing for manual labor outdoors. In a hunting or tactical situation- I’d opt for something less odorous.

I use it for the purpose it was created! To let mosquitos live and stay in their lane … away from me. This product has served me very, very well for years. And, it is non invasive to my good health. At age 85, I am still particular about what I put on and what I put in my body. With my skin being the largest organ of my body, I am especially careful. Coleman’s essential oils have served me and mosquitos very well, and at a very reasonable cost.

As soon as I got the package I knew something was wrong…the chemical smell was so strong even through the package. And sure enough I opened it and the bottle had been leaking all over everything, wasting quite a bit of the product… But oh well there was still quite a lot in it still so I was going to just over look that and use it.. well the first time I put it on..ya the smell is crazy and smells heavily of chemicals and deet and really not like lemon eucalyptus at all and has the gross feeling in the skin similar to other repellents like Off. So I read the label and nowhere on it does it say deet free like the image in the listing. So I’m not such a fan..gave it to a friend who doesn’t mind harsh chemicals.. maybe I was given the wrong product???

This Coleman Insect Repellent Spray – Botanicals Non-DEET Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent really works for me. I have been using it for a few years. No bugs ever land on me. I usually just dab it on my shirt, hat, neck and arms. I spray it on my pants or shorts. You don’t have to spray it directly on your skin. It is very fragrant and I advise you apply it outside and out of the direct wind.
