   Don’t be scared by DEET, this stuff is safe to put on your skin and is the only bug spray ingredient that is consistently effective at repelling insects. I use this for my whole family on warm summer nights when mosquitos and flies are a problem and we don’t get bitten. This is the most effective and cost-effective insect repellent I’ve used. If we’re sitting outside on our patio I also use a citronella candle for a wide area of effect which coupled with this spray is completely effective.

   When you have a bug biting problem do you wanna fool around with a bunch of gimmicks or do you want to just make the bugs quit biting you? Well if you’re like me and you want the bugs to leave you alone this is the product you need. I am 66 years old and have been fishing hunting camping and playing in the woods most of my life. A couple of weeks ago I went fishing in the back waters and the no Seeums which were not no seeums because I could see them were biting the heck out of me and the other two people on my boat. I reached down to get a bag that is normally on the boat with bug spray on it and it was not there. Between the three of us we had a half a dozen other bug repellents, Which did nothing to keep the bugs away. We had stuff that smelled good may have tasted good but did not work to keep the bugs away. the next six hours we were miserable. If we were not catching so many fish we would’ve probably gone home. That night I came home and purchased two containers of this product. The day after the product showed up, I returned to the backwaters to fish again. As soon as the bugs came out I sprayed down with us and for the rest of the day no more biting bugs. 100% deet is the only way to go.

   This is my first experience with a product containing 100% Deet, It has not stopped “Biting Midges” from attacking me, I spray it on, and they still bite me, I thought I sprayed liberally, if i need to bathe in it they should sell it in 5 gallon buckets First time I used it, got some over spray on the remote control for my Lasko floor fan, when I tried to wipe it off, it made some ugly smears, After getting it clean using rubbing alcohol, the remote is etched with tiny pock marks, the size of the spray mist. Update It also affects the linoleum floor, making it sticky like glue And my finger slips from the pump actuator which is slick smooth with very little contour and no texture

    I work maintaining a stream & trail in the woods, while working in the stream tiny black flies swarm all over me. This repellant keeps the flies somewhat at bay, yet not as much as I’d hoped. Some of the persistent flies still bite, yet it keeps all other insects away. Certainly better than deep woods off..using that is like splashing sugar water in my skin.
