   Coleman, I thought better of you. Although this chair was reasonably comfortable, it is NOT as sturdy as its seemingly solid frame would suggest. In the past, I have bought Coleman chairs that have stood up to nearly a DECADE of frequent use and are still going strong, but this thing literally unraveled after just a few months of normal daily use. As you can see from the pictures, the bungee cord snapped and the chair is now useless. (And before you even ask, no, it wasn’t me. I’m a six-foot-tall person but do NOT have the kind of weight that breaks furniture, folding or otherwise.) I was willing to pay a higher price for this chair, based on the confidence I had in the brand and the (apparently false) assumption that I would be buying a quality product. Based on this experience, I’ll think twice before buying Coleman again. It’s a shame.

   I purchased two of these chairs from colemandiscount.com in September 2016 and had high expectations. They are very comfortable but are VERY poorly made. After moderate use, my wife and I are not big people, the fasteners holding them together have to be tightened continually. This requires two different size allen wrenches to perform. One of the chairs sits fairly square but the second one when set up has the legs on one side sticking out almost 2 inches farther than the other side (photo included to show this). Also, one of the riveted fasteners holding the botton of the frame together just failed and required a trip to Home Depot for machine screws and nylon lock nuts to make the chair useable again…..this was the straw that broke the camels back and motivated me to write this review! I would not recommend purchasing these chairs unless you are very patient and willing spend money and time to keep them in service.

   These are nice chairs. And the previous one lasted about 5 years with care to bring it under cover during rain. It finally failed when the elastic string that supports you finally gave way. I also restrung the chair with 550 cord because nothing else is broken. Islets are a little rusted, but all intact. I enjoyed the comfort of the original enough to buy two more.

   Great seat! Overall not bad. Serves its purpose of having somewhere to sit other than the ground. Unfortunately, I’m a beer drinker and the cupholder on this chair lasted about 2 times of use and the chains are already falling apart. So this is an important feature that I’m extremely sad about. All the engineers Coleman has and yes they fail on this. Poor design, poor quality. I’ll live and move on with myself but may need to find an alternative chair for my type of people. Farewell Coleman.

   I never write reviews but this is the best outdoor chair ever. Bought one in 2008 and accidentally left it at the ballpark in 2019. That.s right, I had this chair for for 11 years and I have to get a new one because I lost it, not because it broke. Left out in the sun months at a time, countless camping trips, ball parks, outside at the house. The cup holder on this new one is chain so that.s an improvement. The one on the old one didn’t last long but who really uses those. BTW I am a 6′ guy and range between 275 and 330 during all those years. I can tell you over all that time the fabric tore and wore away but the mesh part of it seemed like it would last forever. If the new one is half as good as that it makes this the only chair to buy. Never had rivets break but to me that’s no biggie. Pop a new one in. If the plastic or metal parts break then that is a real problem. I have been through a lot of folding outdoor chairs, some last a season, some two. If your looking for a chair that has the potential to last longer this is the one. Oh yea its comfortable also.

    This is the most comfortable camp chair I’ve ever found. I am 6’3 270lbs and there is plenty of room. I would give this 5 stars if not for a small design flaw. The zigzag wire that the bungee threads through is tack welded to the frame. In the picture you can see that the welds rusted and eventually failed. The bungee attachment points need to be reengineered.

    Chair falling apart just over a year after I bought it. It’s a shame because it is super comfortable with the suspension and no cross bar under your thighs to cut off your circulation like my other camp chairs. The cupholder started falling apart shortly after I got it. Now the main support screws come out pretty regularly. I can still use it so far as long as I don’t lose the screws when they fall out, and I do keep using it because it really is Comfortable. You might be able to catch it in the winter for around $35 and that might be worth it but I would not spend $50 again.
