   This has come in handy so many times for an emergency light. It has a charging cord that you store in the base and it holds a charge for a very long time. It’s also very bright. Worth the money for camping or an emergency light.

I wrote the seller, who wrote back they didn’t know anything about the description and advised a return, which I did. I’ll go to Coleman directly to get the product.

   Simple and convenient. Not blindingly bright on the highest setting. Charger and cable storage in the base is great. And the rechargeable battery is easy to replace if/when needed.

   Light was great. Charging cord storage in base is brilliant, but not as sturdy as I expected from Coleman. After one summer, the plastic lantern cracked along the side and across the threads after being dropped from a short height.

   This lantern comes with the charger and cord in the base. Unscrew the base like a jar lid and charger and cord are there. It also came charged. Once charged it will hold charge until you need it. Will come in good during outages and you can charge your phone with it!

   There is little to complain about with this light other than a bit more lumen output would make this very good camping light a great one. Also, the battery takes several hours to fully charge which was longer than expected
   The battery life after charging is excellent and lasts for some hours – The unit is very lightweight and though constructed mainly of plastic seems very durable – Though the light output could be better , the brightness in use is adequate for most camping needs.
   This light would be great to have on hand as an emergency light in a vehicle, boat or home.
   I am very pleased overall and believe this is a good value for the price paid.

    This is my third Coleman lantern and they all live on top of my fridge. Any household with pets probably feels the same way I do about candles. Candles are pretty and smell nice, but can also burn your house down pretty quickly. Give me my Coleman lanterns any day. This is my third generation. My first is forest green and runs on C cell batteries; my second is identical to this one EXCEPT it requires 4 D cell batteries. I have purchased over the years about ten of these. I give them as gifts (complete with batteries). They are so handy. A flashlight requires a hand to hold it. What if you need both hands and more light? The Coleman lantern is your workhorse. Working on the car and it suddenly got dark outside; grab the Coleman lantern and keep at it until the job is done. When the electricity goes out in the neighborhood, grab the Colemans. One neighbor thought I had a generator, my house was so well lit. This lantern should be included in every household’s emergency kit. And now it’s rechargeable! Just when I thought I couldn’t love it more. You should get one, maybe two and don’t forget to get one for your mother. No, I don’t work for Coleman; just a happy customer.

    We purchased this lantern as we are avid Glampers from time to time. We wanted a lantern that did not have batteries so that they wouln’t run out in the middle of the trip. We used to have a Kerosine lamp, however that also meant carrying around the fuel and we needed to be cautious of high winds if we were hanging it from a tree/tent pole.

    Being able to charge this lamp during the day using a solar pack or the car was perfect for us, and the light was very bright. We managed to keep it on the lowest setting until it was time for the fire to provide light and it lasted the entire weekend.

    We did not use it to charge any of our mobile devices, but I am sure it could survive a phone charge and a night on the high setting before needing to be rejuiced.
