   I can’t complain too bad about Coleman, but this kit is not like my grandpa’s mess kit at all. There is much I like, but at the same time, I don’t think these will stand the test of time. One weekend on the stove and the bottom finish has burned off in spots. Yes, I was boiling water, so stainless would be the way to go, but really just after 4 uses.
   The non-stick is good. Eggs cleaned right off. We will see how that changes over time.
   I like and dislike slip in handle. It makes storage easier, makes it so you are not bumping into the handle or burning it, but I found myself saying “where did that dang handle go again” it is balanced well enough that I was able to hang it on the camp kitchen.
   It think it is right for the price. I would compare it to T-Fal or something like that. I think I just need to spend more money on a better kit to last me longer.
   One thing I wish they had were cloth bags to put each pan in so nesting the pans will not scratch them up. I used towels and will find canvas or cotton bags to put them in. Also, don’t use these on high heat. That’s true with any non-stick, but still.

   2024-01-17 I cooked soup and then I cooked pasta sauce. When cleaning I noticed that the coating was easily removed with a plastic fork or my finger nail. If this coating is the “forever chemical” then this is a health hazard. I did not eat the pasta sauce. I used the saucepan on an induction burner and it did very well because it is steel. None of my other steel pans had their coatings peel off like this one. Buyer BEWARE. I will contact the manufacturer Coleman/Newell 2024-02-26 After reporting the problem to Newell they were nice enough to send me a new set for free. I used the new, saucepan on the gas range and things seemed fine. Then I used the new saucepan on the indution burner with water in it, and after about 30 minutes of use I could see small blisters of the non-stick coating forming on the bottom of the pan. They easily came off with a stainless steal pad. So again, I would caution other users about the use of these pans and I would admonish Newell to do some quality control testing on their product. This could be the toxic teflon non-stick coating that has been reported to be dangerous to one’s health.

   Absolutely horrible!! Took them camping for the first time this past weekend. Very first item we cooked – the non stick immediately peeled up and stuck to the food! The bottom also burned on the pot. The handles don’t stay in… can’t believe Coleman would have their name on this product, and shocked that colemandiscount.com would keep selling these after everyone else is having the same issues. Wish we could get a refund. So disappointed.

   Used these only ONE time on a Coleman grill and this is the look of them on the bottom. Also they were transported carefully, in a bin, hand towels between them, I used plastic utensils while cooking and still they are all scratched up. I know they are low cost but after one use? That sucks.

    We purchased these pans in 2018 and have used them 3x. I purchased based on brand since coleman products are typically long-lasting. After just 3 uses, the teflon is flaking off into our food so we’ll have to throw them out. 🙁 There is also no warranty. For $30, I guess you get what you pay for.

    I like that all the pots and skillet nest into each other. It has a nonstick feel when you’re cooking. I took it camping this past weekend at the beach and it worked great. It fits my Coleman one burner stove perfectly and holds the exact amount of water I need for one pot of coffee. I used the smaller pot to boil some water to make some coffee and the next morning it had rust! I’m not sure why it’s only been in the elements for one day I feel like it should have been a little more durable, this brand is known for its outdoor equipment.

    Pros: A very compact set with good sizes for camp cooking needs. Really like the slotted lid for straining Cons: The non-stick coating wore off after two uses on the frying pan. Bottom finish of pans discolored after one use. Nice looking set right out of the box. Pretty excited to use this. Disappointing to discover the non-stick finish wore off after our second use on our camping trips. My previous non-Coleman cookset lasted a couple of years before the non-stick started to wear off. The discoloration I don’t mind as this is camping equipment but I was expecting more durability with this product.

    I was worried about these at first but they were great. You can cook whatever you need between the pans and they’re such a great addition to camping gear since they pack into each other pretty much. I think they’d be great for camping parties for 1-4 people. Bigger than that and you might want to think about bigger pans but for couples camping these were a great addition to camping gear.
