- Handle latch is for replacement on Coleman Steel Belted Coolers manufactured after 1999.
- For use on the following Coleman 54 Qt Steel Belted Cooler Model numbers: (6155-707, 6155B707, 6154-703, 6154-720, and 6154B703).
- NOT for use on steel belted coolers made before 2000.
- In combination with Coleman Cam Latch part # 5010005238 (sold separately), it acts as a lock to keep the lid closed. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to attach this part. The black color of this part can be found under Latch Assembly part # 5010005236.

Our purchase of a Coleman cooler never latched from date of purchase. The lid fit tight enough to not care if it latched or not. Upon looking at this item we realized ours didn’t have the metal inside needed for locking.
