   El viejo empaque de plástico fue remplazado, por este de cuero, creo que es mejor opción, solo que se tiene que lubricar para ablandar el cuero, fui a una talabartería y me recomendaron el aceite de paraná, lo sumergí unos minutos y el cuero se lubrico y ablandó, lo instale y la lámpara volvió a funcionar. No sé que tan efectivo sea el aceite pero por lo pronto está funcionando bien!!!

    Used this to replace the rubber pump cup (original) in my Coleman dual fuel lantern. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to twist off the plastic cover, removed the plunger, used a small screw driver to pop off the medal tab holding on the old cup, massaged some neatsfoot oil into the new leather cup, installed the new parts then gently worked the new cup into the plunger shaft. Works great. My only regret is not replacing the old one sooner! I now realize how much of my life was wasted pumping. This new one takes a fraction of the time.

    It fixed my old Coleman stove. At first it seemed like it was not going to fit into the pump tube, but with patience and using my finger nail to push around the edges, I got it in. The first install didn’t have a good seal. I had a small seam in the leather. I pulled it out and tried again. The 2nd time it sealed perfectly. I deducted one star because the instructions said to remove the original steel backing plate and replace it with the included plastic plate. When I did that the plastic plate broke so I put the original metal one back on, which worked out fine.

    I knew that Coleman had replacement pump cups but they were made of rubber. I wanted the classic leather cups that originally came with the lantern that lasted 50+ years. I have several vintage Coleman camping equipment that I want to keep alive. These replacement cup provide that opportunity!

    These leather cups are good replacement parts for your Coleman liquid powered appliance. Be sure to fully soak the leather cup before trying to reassemble the pump. I’ve found the metal spring clip that holds the cup in place can be most easily removed with a pair of needle nose pliers; grip the old clip with the pliers and then twist the clip as you pull it off the pump stem.
