   These mantles are for a Coleman 222 lantern. They consist of a mesh bag with a drawstring to tie it on the generator. (Generator is the thing that mixes air with the fuel.) You cannot tie the mantle to the generator, it’s too big and the material is stiff. There is very little space in that area to work with. If you are VERY careful, it is doable. The next step is to ignite the mantle. It will turn into ash (it’s supposed to do that) which is very delicate. Do not touch it or it will crumble. {Helpful hint, don’t touch it.)
   Summary, it is delicate so buy at least two packages so that when things fail the first time you can try again. For what it’s worth I love my 222.

   Nothing fancy – just the replacement mantle for my Coleman lantern. A bit pricey but can not find it locally and shipping is included
