   BEST CAMPING PURCHASE EVER! You’ll love this cot. Go ahead and drop it in your cart and come back to read the rest of my review. Trust me, it’s worth it. Assuming you’ve put this in your cart, here we go… I am pretty picky when it comes to my sleeping conditions. My husband and I have a memory foam hybrid mattress at home, so when we decided to go on a camping trip I told him we had to find something comfortable to sleep on. I was tired of the money pit that air mattresses are- they always ALWAYS deflate and I have yet to find one that holds up for more than a handful of nights- even if it’s on a clean, flat floor in our home. I began researching cots and came across these. I am so happy I did! The pad that comes on top is really comfortable and the canvas portion of the cot has a lot of give, so it feels much more like a bed. We purchased two of these and will be using them pushed together. When two are pushed together they almost make a queen size bed. colemandiscount.com must have heard the complaints about the packaging these are shipped in because ours came in two very durable cardboard boxes. If you are tired of air mattresses and such or are needing a portable bed of sorts, THIS IS IT! **UPDATE 8-25-2017** These cots are STILL AMAZING! We have toted these things around many places and had many overnight guests sleep on them. They are still by far the most comfortable portable bed option. Despite currently being 38 weeks pregnant, I still find these cots to be wonderfully comfortable and have slept on them several times throughout my pregnancy. Thanks for an awesome product, Coleman! *February 2022 Update*—Still awesome. These things have gotten a LOT of use over the past 6 years and they are still just as sturdy and comfortable as ever. We have had no issues with the frame, springs or pad. When my children outgrow their toddler cots, we will upgrade them to these as well. These cots are worth the initial investment.

   My family and I camp lots and we always used air mattresses but the issue we have and what alot of other people suffer from is by the next morning you wake up on the ground. We couldn’t stand it anymore. I did some searching and came across these cots. I started to do some research on which ones where the best out there and what the differences is between spring and fabric tension. We went with the spring tension it gives you more of a feeling of a mattress. The ones that are held in place with fabric are a bit stiffer and not as conferrable. The pros with this cot are its durable, its comfy and it easily holds a big guy like me I’m 6ft 2 and 340 pounds and it holds me up no problem. The cons its got some. One would be the size. It folds in half which is nice but still takes up enough cargo room. Second thing would be width it is roughly two feet wide but it could be just a bit wider. I say ditch the bulky air mattresses and get a cot Its 100 percent worth it.

   This cot is very comfortable. I’m 6’2″ and 250 lbs. and it’s very stable. It’s plenty long enough for me and I’m very happy with my purchase. A word of warning though. They ship this through the Post Office and my carrier wouldn’t deliver it to my house because of the size. We had to go pick it up at the Post Office. Fantastic cot though!!

   I am not going to give this product completely five stars because it is not perfect but it is pretty great. Have you slept on a camp cot…And woken up the next day feeling like you’re the tin man after a rain? Well this cot is not perfect but it sure beats that type of cot. I purchased the initial standard comfort card for my son who is 6’2 “ …he claims and 200 pounds well he’s a lengthy guy and on that cot he said was very very comfortable but still his long size 12 feet hung out. So I made a retail decision to take that one back to a different retailer and purchase on colemandiscount.com boy am I glad I did. This Cot is comfortable and the reason it is, is because it has suspension hooks all around the outer edge. Here’s what I’m gonna do I’m going to make my own foam mattress. The one on it isn’t bad but if you want to sleep on this thing for longer than two nights more foam is much better. Maybe Because I sleep on a therma rest mattress…I’ve become a princess with a P… And I cannot handle sleeping on on uncomfortable couches or army cots anymore. If you’re a little bit of a princess this Cot will do it! I am taking points off for how it folds up not easy but I think it gives it a better support than the fancy-schmancy folding ones that have very skinny legs and because it’s not as sturdy as it could be but then it would be triple the price this is a very good piece of equipment for what we use it for which is to have a lot of guests over all the time for the price. I do recommend it! Could put two together and make a larger size mattress as well. I’m very nitpicky when it comes to sleeping devices because I don’t like to be uncomfortable at night so basically this is pretty perfect considering how inexpensive it is. It’s not really a cot that you would take hiking… it’s too cumbersome for that but it’s perfect for RV parking or tent camping or just in your home when you have extra guests or want to pretend in your backyard that you’re out in the deep woods! It’s rated to support someone who is 250 pounds and if you way more than that I strongly recommend you seek out a different piece of equipment the longer caught probably fits a bigger person. I’ve looked at a lot of camping gear and in the lower and prices they must assume that a lot of really overweight people don’t go camping because nothing is comfortable for anyone unless you’re a pretty tiny person and that is what I mean by height as well as weight. This longer wider cock will fit my son perfectly and with a sticker for mattress it could become a permanent sleeping place. But maybe we don’t want to do that?

   The Deluxe size (203 x 76 x 38cm) is a great option if you are a taller and don’t want your toes hanging over the end of the bed. These Coleman Big Sky stretchers come in 3 sizes (Deluxe, Regular 188 x 66 x 38cm, and compact 175 x 63 x 38cm). The deluxe size is also wider and supports up to 135kg. Comfortable to sleep on, although some may want to add an additional roll-up mattress.

   Two of these fit easily in the boot of a medium sized sedan, and at 9kg they are easy to carry short distances.

   Also great to use as a spare bed, as they take up little space when folded.

   I am a taller guy, about 6’4″ and 185lb. I have a cheap inflatable pad for camping but it has basically no insulation and slides all over the place. I wanted something for when I go car camping around southern California this summer and fall.

   Got the cot and immediately set it up in the living room to test it out. No real instructions but it is very simple to setup. I really like how the pad for the cot is stashed within the cot while its folded to be put away. Comfort was very nice; soft yet firm. I tend to sleep on my side and it did not feel too firm for that. I would give it 5/5 immediately but I want to see how it performs for a trip to Kern River I have coming up.

    These are nice cots. I wanted to sleep off the floor in our tent. Found these after watching a review on you tube. I wanted this stile because they have a bar that runs all the way across the floor keeping the weight off 4 posts as other brands do. This way their is less chance of ware on the tent floor was the most reason and also price point. I’m tall 6’2″ and have plenty of room. They have springs all the way around with a nice pad that go’s on top. They are simple, fold out easy and fold up with a strap holding them together when not in use. Very nice. I recommend these cots for any one between 220-300 lbs as I’m 220. They were under 100. including tax, nice product.

    I purchased this as extra bedding for guests, in the office, where we have limited space. The cot is mostly good, but I do NOT like the awkward way that that it folds up for storage. First, you have to remove the sleeping mat from the top of the cot … and set that bulky thing aside somewhere …. Then, you have to FLIP THE WHOLE DARN COT OVER, so it’s upside down. Now you can grab the sleeping mat again and tuck it in under the bars by the legs. Next fold the legs down so they squeeze the sleeping mat. And finally … you get to the step that I had assumed would be the FIRST STEP … that is, folding the cot up, like you’re closing a book. There is some velcro to help keep it closed for storage. I’ve only seen one other person mention this awkward folding up of the cot in the reviews. I imagine if you’re using this out in the great outdoors, with wide open spaces, you wouldn’t notice this inconvenience. But at home, where I’ve just got a tiny little office and not much space to move around … it’s definitely a downer that I have to do all this acrobatics just to get the darn thing folded up. I thought that would be the easy part. But oh well. The cot does fit my space wonderfully, and it’s one of the few compact and portable sleeping options I’ve found, which gives you the full 80 inches of length. I’m not tall, but some of my guests are. I know the tall folks appreciate being able to lie down without having to dangle their feet over the edge. The sleeping mat that comes with it is OK, but it’s not comfortable enough to sleep on more than just a night or two. It’s has a stiff plastic feeling but it’s cushiony at the same time, like a gym mat. To make it more comfortable for guests, I bought the Downlite (down alternative) Dorm Twin XL Fiber Bed, which has a 3-inch gusset, and the Cool Touch 400 Thread Count Waterproof Mattress Topper Protector, which accommodates mattress toppers from 2 to 5 inches thick. All three of these work perfect together. I tried lying down on the camping mat that comes with it, and it felt too spartan (would have been fine for camping). The weird thing is, it wasn’t actually firm (which I would have liked), it just felt sort of insubstantial. Then I tried lying down with just the fiber bed / mattress cover combo on the cot (without the camping mat), and it felt too saggy. Finally, I tried it with the camping mat plus the fiber bed / mattress topper combo, and it was good. I tried it out by sleeping in it all night. Comfortable and firm enough for me. The camping cot is lightweight enough to move around the house, and it does fit in the back of the car, flat, if you have a large trunk. The camping cot folds up and out of the way, against the wall. For the big fluffy fiber bed / mattress cover combination, I got some bungee cords for holding them tight in a bed roll. Then we put 2 hooks on the wall and hung a carabiner from each hook. Now when the fiber bed is rolled up, we hook the bungee hooks into the carabiners, and voila … the fiber bed roll is up and off the floor, out of the way.
