Very good Product. It has the fastest boiling time . I think better than a Pocket Rocket. Very sturdily built and i think it can last a life time if properly maintained. Very compact in size but the problem is with the Pot support . A round bottom pan will not sit properly a relatively flat bottom pan will do better . Any way to me a Boom Proof Product. Love It.

I had used the white gas Peak 1 (#400) for 25 years starting 1980. Worked great, and still does. Over 300 camp dinners that, plus teas/coffees. In my middle age, more fussy about pack weight, and more disposal income values convenience over cost for us weekend warriors, butane canister gas cost at least 3x that of white gas. I have tried a couple butane stoves starting in 2005. Mostly all good. I like the simplicity and moderate cost of this the best. And seems more suited to heavier and bigger pot/pans than some, with stout arms and wide burner, and great and smooth low flame simmer. Quieter than many. Some smaller and lighter, but you are just shaving grams and millimeters, Uses the EN 417 screw on valve which has become the defacto standard for camping stoves over the last decade, Primus, Jetboil, CSI, MSR, Snowpeak, etc. so finding gas canisters not an issue. It can well benefit from a cheap, foldable tank stand, as do most. I would still recommend an old fashioned pump up white gas stove for cabin or weeks long use, but they are a little bigger and heavier for hiking.

This is the simplest, most reliable and easy to manage stove I’ve ever owned. It’s not the lightest. There’s no built-in ignition. There’s really nothing to go wrong. The adjustment knob is extremely good. On cheaper stoves, the flame can go from “butane lighter” to “inferno of death” with just a fraction of a turn. The adjustment on this stove is very smooth consistent. I’ve made coffee countless times with this model. I’ve made hot chocolate for the kids. I’ve prepared freeze dried food. I’m totally sold on it and I don’t really care if there are lighter stoves available.
So, why is this my third? I gave one to my son for hurricane season. I have one in my backpack ready to go to the woods. And I bought the last one as a backup because I’m deathly afraid that it may be discontinued at some point. It’ll stay in the box until it’s needed.

I really like the design of the stand. It’s easy to attach it to a canister. The stands can accommodate a smallist pot but take into consideration that the diameter of the burner is larger than some stoves. It did struggle in windy weather so a windscreen would be essential. Not as strong a flame as other similarly priced stoves.
