   We really liked the quality of the sleeping bag for our camping trip! It was comfortable and warm but we CANNOT get it back into the bag. We followed the instructions for the “easy to use” drawstring like tie and it broke after our third failed attempt to get it to work. Now we cannot get the sleeping bag back in the bag. Very annoying. It’s not a compression bag at all, it’s just a bag with a zipper.

   I’ve used the bag twice in cold weather. It performs well, keeping you very comfortable. The texture of the bag’s interior is almost tacky. Leaves, twigs, string and lint stick to it. As other reviewers mention, it’s almost impossible to get the sleeping bag back into its carry bag. After the second attempt the bag shredded along the drawstring closure. I’ve filed a warranty claim after several attempts with Coleman and will update the review with their response..

   The no-snag zipper works really well. Bag is comfortable. But it will never fit back in the sack it came in! Your best bet is to buy an extra large compression sack to stuff this puppy into. There are a couple thin cords attached to the foot end of the bag which you’re supposed to be able to use to hold the bag after you roll it. But no matter how tightly I rolled it, I just about broke a finger trying to get the one cord to attach to the other.

    Have slept in many different kinds of sleeping bags over the years; many of them Coleman with fleece lining. They were great. This bag I bought via colemandiscount.com a year ago for $40 and have used it 3 times while camping in the Pacific NW forests. My only complaint is that the “tricot knit lining” acts like Velcro when coming into contact with many plant materials, ie moss, small ferns, lichen, etc. Then this debris easily come loose from your clothing and get embedded in this tricot knit lining. Then you have literally hundreds of pieces of scratchy embedded debris that is very very uncomfortable to sleep against. Then what compounds this issues is that each piece of plant material has to be painstakingly plucked, one at a time, and the piece of plant material usually breaks apart requiring multiple plucks to remove. I’d rather sleep in a bag my 9 year old consumed a box of crackers in. It took literally an hour and a half of plucking and couldn’t remove all fragments without damaging the liner. Tried to run through the washing machine and that made no improvement in removing this scratchy debris left within the lining. This bag seem adequate in all other areas of design and comfort and would work out great if not used in a forest setting. I’m not sure what the engineers were thinking when using tricot knit lining and they certainly didn’t do field tests within the Pacific NW. There may be a reason that colemandiscount.com has discounted the bag and sells this same bag for $20. Totally useless to me.

    I took two of these on a two night camping trip and couldn’t be happier. We zipped two of them together to make a two person bag. We did put a wool blanket over the bag, but slept comfortably in a warm weather tent with night lows of 37 degrees. Interior lining is soft and comfortable. Zipper does not snag like other bags. For those of you complaining about it not fitting back in the bag: will it roll up as small as when you first got it? Of course not. That’s why the storage bag has an expansion zipper. If you can follow simple instructions attached to the bag you can roll these up and fit them in the storage bag in 5 minutes. It’s not that hard. For the price, you can’t beat this bag.

    Used for 8 nights during around 30-32 degrees Fahrenheit. Very warm. No complaints about that! I found it spacious (5’7 woman, 150 lbs). CANNOT GET BACK INTO BAG. Only complaint.

    The sleeping bag is warm and the zipper on the bag itself is nice and hasnt snagged. However, the sleeping bag is stored in its own sleeve once rolled up and that sleeve bag has a zipper of it’s own. Sort of like a suit case, you can zip it up to make the bag tighter or unzip it to give you some more room. Well upon opening the box and ONLY unzipping that zipper, I could NOT zip it up again. The sleeping bag inflated with air no longer allowed me to zip it up, without unpacking the sleeping bag itself. The product is good, but this detail alone is so frustrating to me.

    Currently camping in mid October and my children have abandoned their sleeping bags in favour of mine. This sleeping bag is very warm. For colder nights (approximately 3 degrees), I dress in fleece pants and warm socks and i am super warm. It cost $35 more than the competitor’s sleeping bag but im so happy I spent the extra $$$.
