   Upon opening box, noticed a big dent opposite side off on off switch. On off switch was a little hard to turn. Not too concerned about the dent what is going to keep but the turning of the on off switch made me decide to return it. very easy return transition.

   Have not used it yet but had one before witch lasted for almost 15 years in witch I sold in good working order hard times but got this one now these lamps are extreamely bright but do not use uk petrol coleman fuel only as it blocks the jet as I found out the hard way on a norhstar I bought a few years ago after a while the light intensity decreased until nothing did some research found out premium is no good it’s designed to run on regular unleaded petrol so be carefull what you use

   This thing is built like a tank, really solid, but I haven’t actually fired it up yet due to a fuel dilemma. The company says its Dual-Fuel technology allows for Coleman Liquid Fuel or unleaded gasoline, and I’m a bit hesitant to try unleaded gasoline . Plus, getting my hands on Coleman Liquid Fuel is proving to be impossible due to international shipping restrictions (it’s basically white gas, but nobody here seems to have heard of it).
   That being said, I’m confident I’ll get it working someday. Until then, I can say that this lantern is seriously impressive. The build quality is top-notch, and it looks like it’s ready for anything. It’s a real beauty, even unlit.

   Bei der 1. Lieferung war der Brennstoffbehälter verbeult und Lackschäden am Reflektor. Bei der 2. Lieferung war das Druckrohr verbogen. Bei der 3. Lieferung war die Pumpstange verbogen. I am not amused! 3× Schrott ,das kann ja wohl nicht sein .

   I used borrow a small single mantle Coleman lantern and it was already enough for me when camping. I missed using that one it so I checked out from a coleman store here inthe Philippines to buy my own but it was already too late, Coleman doesn’t manufacture these kind of items anymore, even Coleman tents. That is why I tried to search for this in colemandiscount.com and found this double mantle. I would have been perfect for me the smaller version and if the one delivered to me doesn’t have dent. I also purchased this Classic Coleman stove. Hope Coleman starts manufacturing these items again.

   This is an awesome lantern. I bought it for camping and fishing. I already have one. They put out a lot of light at night. You can put it in a case with a base. You do not want to set it in water or mud. It will rust. Buy extra mantles and put them in the base of the case. Then set the lantern on the base. This way you will have mantles in case you need one. The case will protect the lantern and glass. Set it up and use it before you need it in the pitch dark. Get a couple of boxes of wooden matches. Keep them dry in a plastic bag. Use a metal clothes hanger to hang it from a tree at night. 2 lanterns work best for fishing.

   Lantern arrived with the center section squeezed in, as if held by a gorilla. Thats why a 3 star rating. Picture of new lantern in my review is beside a 30 year old powerhouse lantern, same model. Lantern works great. Comes with mantles and fuel filter. Do yourself a favor and get the lantern case. Buy extra mantles and stow them with the lantern. Keep the fuel fresh and clean, relieve tank pressure when you are storing it. These things will last a long time when kept up properly. Again, see the photo in my review. 30 year old lantern beside a new lantern.

    I would expect a better product from Coleman. This should not have been sent this way. Returning the item & we will see if they replace it then I will modify my review. Poor Mfg – someone needs to be fired! Received the replacement. fast response in getting a new one out. Item works as expected-no issues.

    Great source of light but more so a great thing to play around with while outdoors. As bright as I had hoped and works with normal pump gas, very convenient. Of course a normal LED nowadays is more practical in some ways, but I think this still has its place in one’s home. Either for emergencies or just for fun. Also, the pressure lantern buzz is soothing.
