   The only thing this bag has going for it is, Looks!!!…. I just stuffed my Coleman sleeping bag in the barley large enough opening… everything went fine until I used the straps…. the one ripped with hardly any torque?.,, the buckle had turned roughly at a 45• angle, and to My surprise the strap tore, on the first use!!!!!…. Colman should monitor they’re private label companies that manufacture such shotty product!…

   spend a couple bucks more and get something else. very light duty. the straps are impossible to tighten unless they are slack, you must compress the contents fully then use one hand to hold the strap loose and the other to pull it tight.
   The end seam ripped out while stuffing a blanket only half way into the bag, before tightening the straps.

   Coleman camping equipment used to good quality- now it all seems to be generic junk with a Coleman label. poor results with our campstove, air mattress, water container, collapsibel dishpan…….no more Coleman anything for us.

   This is exactly what I needed it to be. We had kid sleeping bags that came without bags. These jumbo sleeping bags fit perfectly in this sack with room to spare. I would assume it would work just fine with adult size bags. I like the straps on the side. Would be easy to attach to a backpack. Great price too. I would definitely recommend.

   I have a cheap sleeping bag I take with me when I go on retreats, etc. Unfortunately, it’s very hard to carry rolled up as the outer nylon shell is very slippery and it literally unrolls and becomes unwieldy.
   So this bag is the perfect solution. I roll the sleeping bag up and slip it inside this bag and it becomes carry-friendly. I do not know if it’s waterproof or not. I haven’t tested it, but it is a good carry bag.

   I have the black and grey Coleman Torrey 30 Degree Big and Tall Sleeping Bag that is a Target exclusive. I accidentally threw away the original thin bag, This bag is great. A perfect fit. The 3 straps and the drawstring end is nice. Hopefully this will hold up on my car camping trips, but even if it doesn’t it was a small investment and easy to replace again.

    Es importante aclarar que esta bolsa sólo comprime el sleeping para que el bulto quede menos “grueso”, pero no comprime lo largo del sleeping lo cual creo que es algo que le falta. Yo tengo un sleeping National Geografic que si tiene eso, así que no estoy pidiendo imposibles.

    I think this would have been fine for my purposes, but it broke the very first time I even tried it. I wasn’t even compressing anything all that much. It was cheaply stitched and one of the compression belts came out of the sack.

    Not sure what’s going on with coleman in quality control. I’ve had good luck with their products until maybe 10 years ago. Now, everything of theirs I’ve bought has been complete and absolute garbage. This “compression” sack is a fine example of that for sure.

    I bought it to replace a sleeping bag compression sack that my wife lost for her sleeping bag. Thay sleeping bag cost maybe $20-$40 and was a mummy-type, very compact and lightweight. Even has the same color scheme. The original bag was much smaller, but I thought this work well enough since we didn’t really need to compress anything.

    Upon rolling the bag and putting it into the sack, and pulling the drawstring to close, the bottom immediately ripped out. The stitching is awful and the material is not up to the task. I didn’t even use the buckle straps… so this isn’t up to the advertised task.

    I bought this compression sack to use with the Coleman Adjustable Comfort Big and Tall sleeping bag. That sleeping bag does not come with any way to conveniently store it when not in use. I got this compression sack because, 1. it was aesthetically similar to the bag (grey and fluorescent greenish) and 2. the reviews said it was large enough to contain a large sleeping bag. It does exactly what I hoped it would. No need to roll the sleeping bag, I just stuffed it into the sack, drew the cord tight, and was done. There was plenty of space for a big and tall bag, a smaller, regular bag would be no problem at all. The sack is regular nylon, not rip-stop, so it feels a bit thin. I don’t believe it will tear, but I was not unnecessarily rough when stuffing the sleeping bag in it. The three cross straps compress the sack down nicely, but the stitching points don’t seem particularly strong, so I avoided torquing down a lot (although I didn’t really need to anyways). I needed a way to store my bag in a closet between nontechnical uses (I am a youth pastor and I got the sleeping bag for our overnight youth retreats), and not for any kind of outdoors hiking/camping. This is not a technical piece of equipment, but good for what I need it for.

    Pieces of junk! The compression straps can only take a slight pull before they fail. The straps are thin and weak, and the plastic clasps are also thin and weak. I’m not sure why you would design a compression sack that can’t handle….compression. I would understand if I was yanking hard on them, but it only took a slight tug to break them. I bought five units and it was not a single unit failure. I’m just going to toss all of them and call it a loss. I seldom write colemandiscount.com reviews but wanted to prevent future buyers from suffering the same mistake I did.

    When I received this I was impressed. It looked like exactly what I needed. Then I started to stuff my regular-sized Coleman sleeping bag into it and the sack easily came apart along the seam. I didn’t cram a huge sleeping bag into it.

    I like the design overall. Especially how the compression works to put the sleeping bag into more of a this tube shape which is great if attaching it to the bottom of a hiking backpack, but bought two and had a strap on one break the first time using it. Thinking it was just a sewing defect as we have not had an issue with the other after several uses thus far.

    I ordered 2 of these because I needed larger compression bags for our sleeping bags. They are really too big for this purpose, but I needed to ensure that it is not difficult to put the sleeping bags into the compression bags. They arrived today and, right out of the bag, two of the straps on one of them fell apart.
