   First off, I got this tent because it had great reviews and I don’t regret it!! I’ve been camping for 3 weeks and I came across strong winds, lots and lots of rain and heavy at times and not a drop of water inside. I also made like an awning with the porch door because I keep my window open and I can see. The porch is huge and nothing gets wet under it. I have a queen size air mattress, a little side table and porta potty and i still have lots of room to move around. I also love how big the door is and lots of storage. I recommend this tent 1000%, it is waterproof like described. If for some reason you have a leak its because its defective. I would definitely by this one again.

   What I like… It fits the large-ish Coleman Pack Away cots! I couldn’t find an answer to that question in reviews or videos anywhere. It isn’t a dark tent, but the darker color lets it be a bit dimmer inside. It has a full rainfly, though the tent is mostly mesh under that fly. It wasn’t hard to put up alone as a 5’6″ human. What I don’t love… It does not vent well. Other reviews warned of that. I’m going to try adding tabs and elastic straps to the sides to stake them out to try improving airflow, otherwise it could be hot. I also wish it came with poles for staking up the door/ making an awning to sit under. I will take it out on a 4 day trip soon, but I don’t expect issues with leaking. It feels sturdy enough for normal weather, but I will replace the stakes with more sturdy ones as a precaution. If anything changes, I will update this review.

   This tent is great! I love the vestibule and the space inside. It is easy to set up. The only downfall is no windows, but the inside dome of the tent is all mesh. It does get warm in the sun, but I would think most people are not in a tent in the middle of the day. It has not leaked and is a nice family tent for recreational camping.

   I’ve been camping on and off for the last 40 years. I’ve owned many different tents, so I know what I like and don’t like. I wanted a 4-person tent (for 2-people of course) and I have had good luck over the years with Coleman camping equipment. I first looked at the Sundome and rejected it because the ceiling is just too low. I prefer getting dressed standing up and the Sundome is too low to allow that. Next I looked at the Skydome tent. The center is 4’8″ inches so if I lean my head over, I can get dressed standing up. Then I discovered the Skydome with Full Fly Vestibule. For forty dollars more than the regular Skydome, you get almost 50% more space. Also, the fly comes within a foot of the ground all the way around the tent. That has to make it more rain proof than the standard Skydome. With the attached shock-corded poles and clips, setup only takes a few minutes. With 8′ x 7′ of space inside the main tent and another 8′ x 3.5′ in the vestibule, the Coleman Skydome with Full Fly Vestibule gives you a lot of tent for your money. UPDATE: So I took this tent camping for three days in Jefferson National Forest. The first night it rained hard for almost an hour. The tent did NOT leak. Yea. The attached picture shows the modifications I made to the tent. Added two poles in the front to create a canopy and added a nylon webbing loop at the bottom center of the left and right sides of the fly. Added shock-cord so that the fly can be held away from the tent on the sides. The back of the fly already has the nylon webbing loop. UPDATE 2: When I bought this tent it was one hundred and thirty nine dollars. The current price is almost twice that. I don’t know what happened. Not sure it is worth its current price.

   Very seldom do I write reviews because it is not often a product exceeds my expectations. I bought this tent because my previous one could not handle rain at all. Well, my second night staying in this new tent there were sever weather alerts – thunderstorms with high winds. This tent did not budge and there is NO moisture inside. One thing to know about this tent is 3 of the 4 sides are open mesh. There is no cover or privacy on the tent alone other than the front side with the entry. The canopy/cover is what provides the cover and privacy, and has proven to be 100% rain resistant, even with the cover touching the mesh sides. Due to only having 1 side that you can open with the canopy, it does get warm and air flow can be limited. I still highly recommend this tent.

   I’m new to solo camping and this tent is perfect! I’m a car camper, so size is not an issue for me. I’ve used it a few times so far, once with a friend as well. It’s very large and roomy alone and a perfect size for 2 with enough room to move around a bit. Not quite tall enough to stand up in for me. I am 5’9. But it’s tall enough to stand hunched to get dressed. The rain fly works great and kept me dry in the rain on my last trip! It’s super easy to set up on my own as someone not used to setting up tents. I use it with a tent carpet flooring. The vestibule is handy, but the little door mat it comes with is useless. My only complaint is that it’s pretty much impossible for me to get it all back in the bag it comes in. I’m sure that’s pretty par for the course, so I’m not docking any stars for it.

    This is it mostly assembled, but without the front awning popped up. It also comes with a rain fly. I would recommend buying a tarp to put underneath it because the floor is never thick enough. It is realistically a 4 person tent. Extremely easy to set up and take down because the bag comes with an expander so you just have to get it rolled up small, not squished all the way down to factory size.

    I bought three of these tents to camp in Yellowstone national park in early May. The weather was extremely cold when we first arrived. 29 degrees at night. It did very well keeping the wind out! We also had a severe thunderstorm one day- NO LEAKS!! We usually will reinforce the seams for water before we leave on any trip but we did not and they were perfect! Very happy with this purchase! Had no problems at all. Also it was easy to set up. I put me and my husband’s tent up by myself while he helped the kids put theirs up. Overall great tent. Lots of room also. We had a queen size air mattress with plenty of space on both sides for our extra stuff!!
