Works as advertised. The case is super nice…almost overkill because the lantern itself is pretty sturdy. My only slight dislike is that it can be a little tricky to light through the little access holes using a long lighter or regular match. A long match would be easier so you could get closer to the mantles and not got the sudden whoosh.

Not many other objects tell of the Americana history of the family camping trip than the obligatory green Coleman lantern! Got this lantern following a few power outages in my neighborhood and love it for car camping as well. So easy to use, and back up mantels are so inexpensive I just keep an extra bag of them in the heavy-duty case that came with the lantern. A pack of matches also fits inside of it. The adjustment knob is easy to operate and the included base makes it much more stable. All in all, heavily encouraged if you enjoy outdoor time with the family in the summer.

Works well. Light is bright and case fits perfect. The bags have wire vs string and we’re a little more difficult to tie down, but seem that they will last longer. Great deal to include the case.

This is a pretty standard coleman lantern, which is a good thing in my book. The bonus with this one is the plastic case it stows in. We did a 2K mile road trip and camped several times. I liked being able to pack the lantern up in it’s box and stow it in larger containers with anything else and not have to worry about breaking the globe. The lantern packs away tightly and doesn’t rattle.
If you’re going to use this around the house or backyard, save some cash and go with one without the case. But if you travel to camp, this lantern with a case is the way to go.
