   This is a great find for me to replace my “cranky” RVP 8330A335 RV thermostat! (part number AK7808H) It was truly take down the original unit and put this one up. It was perfect! If you have only 2 zones, then you don’t even have to program it, just plug it in and snap it back on the wall. You’re ready to go! The colemandiscount.com price was nearly the lowest I found anywhere anyway, but, I knew colemandiscount.com would stand behind my purchase if I had any issues. That’s why I buy most everything (online) I can here anyway. It does look a bit different but the buttons features/functions are the same. Display is larger, much easier to see and better backlight than the original factory unit.

   This was a true plug-n-play for the cz original thermostat. As 3 12 volt systems were damaged overnight while plugged into a camp site’s 110 50 amp supply, we discussed a probable surge being responsible for the assorted failures. Rather than abort the next legs of the souljourn for an RV doctor visit, I purchased this expedited delivery from colemandiscount.com. Halfhour reading detailed instructions on jumpers and verification of defaults resulted in a 5 minute install and successful test. This saved untold hours and dollars having a specialist diagnose and order the thermostat for us. Next time an RV doctor is involved, we will have them double check the 12 volt wiring just in case. For now we have heat and cool along with the next destination.

   EDIT: After letting it sit for some time, like weeks…. it is now working properly.

   It hasn’t worked properly straight out of the box after plugging in!? It recognizes that there are 2 zones, but won’t allow to change temperature setting nor change modes or zones!? Will likely have to return for exchange!!

   We were advised by an RV repair shop that our thermostat was dead. We ordered and Received this thermostat. Installed the new thermostat but it did not fix the problem so we too the RV back to the RV repair shop. They said the new thermostat was defective. We contacted colemandiscount.com and they advised to contact the supplier of the thermostat, which we did. The supplier advised us that they only deal with dealers for returns so we asked the RV repair to return it for us as we could not. They said that they were only able to make a limited number of returns and advised to return it to
   colemandiscount.com. So.. we did get an authorization from colemandiscount.com but we’re charged a $100 restocking charge. Not happy! I would not recommend one of these units.

    I went the less expensive route with one that said it was compatible. (Wrong thing to do). This is a simple replacement for the existing one however a huge price at $300. It solved all my worries / I am Grateful to have the heaters working. It will handle up to 4 zones according to the spec. I own a 2 zone 2005 Country Coach with Atwood 8535 IV DCLP heaters. Hope this helps in making the right choice.
