This is one of my favorite purchases on colemandiscount.com to date. We go to the beach a lot and we are limited on storage in our house so the collapsible cooler is perfect! I have used it probably 15+ times now and everything is still in great working condition. I get a little worried I’ll break the strap when I overfill it, but it’s still going strong. I usually use ice packs to keep items cool inside, but I have also used ice and have not had a leak. I have had other cloth coolers that tend to leak, but this one is sewn great and there is no water coming out unless you forget to zipper it. Another one of my favorite attributes of the bag is the handy bottle opener. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve gone to beach bbqs or picnics and realized we don’t have an opener.

So far it hasn’t leaked, as far as cleaning it’s flexible material so a little harder than a rigid cooler, durability not enough times used, the material is flexible this cooler is great if you want to save space, I also lined it with silver bubble wrap material for cold capacity!

This is the perfect midsize cooler! We fill it with food for camping, then use it strictly for beverages at our destination. It fits like a glove horizontal on the backseat, and the way it’s constructed allows us to easily access contents when on the road. It weighs so little and compresses for storage easily. It’s very well thought out with the additional mesh pockets on the outside and inside which are perfect for storing a few plastic utensils. And it really exceeds keeping things cold with the blue blocks, especially frozen foods. Haven’t found any leaks and it’s really easy to keep clean/sanitary.

The Coleman Soft Ice chest keeps your food and drinks colder than most soft sided ice chests. In the hot weather your food and drinks stay cold all day long. I use the Fit & Fresh Cool Coolers blue ice and the Rubbermaid blue ice sheets to keep sodas, milk, fruits, vegetables and gelatin and pudding cold all day long. The drinks will stay colder in the colder the the refrigerator sometimes. This is a great product and a must have for everyday use. This is just the best ice chest I have ever owned! It looks just like the picture and it comes with a bottle opener too.

Its a soft cooler, but get the job done

I bought this cooler for a cruise we took last October. We were in need of a cooler that would fit easily in our luggage, but big enough to store drinks for my family of 5. This was the cooler for that job.
The cooler stored flat in the back of or luggage and we packed our clothes on top of it. When we got to the boat, I had the steward fill it up with ice and we put our bottled water and cokes in it. The ice lasted about 1.5 days and the cooler did not leak all over the floor. During island days we were easily able to take the cooler on and off the boat.
Off of ship life, this cooler is great for me to fill with beer to take down to my buddy’s house. It has the cup holders on top but they are more for just stabilizing your can or bottle, not holding it.
Overall, this is a great portable cooler.

BUYER BEWARE: I ordered this and the cooler I received is bigger than the dimensions in the description. Normally wouldn’t be an issue but we ordered this to take to an event that restricts what size coolers you can bring in and going off the dimensions in the description, I thought this would be a safe one. Now it looks like I am going to have to return it and find another one in a short time frame due to false advertising. Actual dimensions are 17″ X 12″ X 10″

Decent cold holding protection, solid top, zipper is a bit tough to get sealed since the sides flex out when the cooler is full.
The bottom of the cooler seems like it will not hang tough over years of use. Agree with other reviewers that the side supports are just cardboard poorly wrapped in a water-resistant insulating material.
I consider this a 1-2 year purchase. Will do the job until it breaks down. If you want longer term usage, I would buy one of the soft sided coolers with the hard plastic inside inserts so that cans and bottles don’t puncture the soft shell.

On the first beach trip one the support column/podding failed. While having the support column/podding inside the cooler is of no significance to me, still this doesn’t mean Coleman should have cheap out on that feature. Nonetheless this cooler works fine for my family beach days to keep our fruits and drink cool. If you are planning on not using the column/podding then you will need to pack this baby tight so what’s inside servers as support for cooler walls. Overall I bought this cooler despite all the warning about the column/podding failing because I already know I wasn’t going to use the column/podding anyways and after hours of searching and comparing prices this was the better of all cheaps base off size and price.
The reason why I gave this a 3 stars is because of the fact that Coleman is such a big brand and they need to figure out something for the cheap column/podding they put in this nice cooler.
I hope this helps if you are just looking for a quick cheap buy for a cooler that is totally usable without the column/podding.
