   Works great. The only hassle is trying to light by match. A friend of mine has the electronic ignition version of the same lantern, which was super handy. We used them recently to go exploring (old school) in Ape Caves Washington with a group of 25 people. Was about a 3 hour hike (mile long cave) – and only used about a 1/4 of the propane tank. One lantern at the front of the group and one lantern at the back… super bright and helpful.

   This is the second Coleman lantern like this I’ve purchased. The first one was for our camping use. Have had it for three years and have no negative issues. This one I bought for my son and his family, who we often camp with. He was thrilled to receive it. The included case is compact and protects the glass globe sufficiently. Takes up minimal space. Easy to assemble and ignite.

    Unfortunately I just attempted to use this product and while installing the gas cylinder discovered the treads are stripped.

    FYI: not only immediately conduct a visual inspection but also an operational test before your return date expires.

    Very bright, easy to light, lightweight, I really like this lantern and it was worth every cent and more. Only negative about it is, the base doesn’t fit over the gas bottle. It could be the plastic sleeve on the bottom of propane preventing it from fitting.
