I thought this was a great thing to have for our camping trip and ordered it online and paid over $8.00. I was later embarassed to find that I could have bought it at the local discount store for $1.88! I like the convenience of buying online, but I certainly would have made a trip to the store had I realized it was readily availble (in the camping section). The product itself is fine and will serve it’s purpose to protect the eggs.

It was delivered as advertized. It’s made of cheap plastic and the locking tabs that keep it closed seem a bit flimsy. The day after it arrived I saw a comparable model at a local hardware store for less than I paid… Not a real big deal, and at the end of the day I have a functional egg carrying case..

I wanted a solution to the “soggy” egg carton problem you get if you put a dozen eggs into your camp cooler so I picked up a pair of these. I was worried that the large sized eggs wouldn’t fit based on previous reviews, but was pleasantly surprised to see that every single large egg from two dozen eggs fit with plenty of room. Those rare “freakishly” large eggs even fit. I wouldn’t be surprised if the X-Large eggs fit just fine, I’ll have to test that out next camping trip.
Definitely pick these up if your looking to do breakfast on your camping trip, and rest assured that large eggs will fit and not break.

This made packing eggs for breakfast so much less stressful. When you are packing a weekend worth of food in a cooler full of ice, the last thing you need to be dealing with is eggs in the grocery carton they came in. I packed 8 eggs in here, we fried 6 and then I boiled the last two for our ride home. Cheap and efficient piece of camping equipment that will see years of use.

The eggs were small for the space So I put in a paper towel to stabilize them. I was on a long camping trip and had a proper cooler, I thought this would work. Well the latches, 2, prongs that snap over a little post and ball were so hard to get open at the same time, and the first time I tried it, I ended up with at least 4 broken eggs! It was a mess. I tossed the whole thing away. Next time it’s the old zip lock bag and tin foil over the paper egg crate!

I was dubious if this would work but I can say after numerous camping trips I have never had a single broken egg

It’s a great product for storing eggs when camping, just what I needed. I love this product except for the fact that I saw the exact same product at Big 5 for half the price. My bad for not checking prices like I normally do, I just thought colemandiscount.com would have the best price. Next time I know better.

If you’re vigilant about having clean facial sponges, this is great.

this is a convenient thing to have on hand. it even holds jumbo size eggs i found. the only reason i don’t give it five stars is because it does seem a little flimsy, i feel like coleman used to make these better. the handle is pretty thin, and the closure is kinda weird. there’s no clip latch to give me a confident close, but i haven’t had any problems yet. you cant really go wrong, it’s just sitting in your cooler anyway, as long as it keeps my eggs from breaking.

We use this when going camping as it protects our eggs and we don’t end up with a soggy cardboard carton in our esky.

Great for camping but unfortunately won’t fit 12 large eggs, only 6 spaced out!

Looking after close to 4 chickens, it’s easy to have too many eggs to, and after a while i ran out of cartons to give away, so this purchase was phenomenal, cause i’m able to take my eggs to friends and families and stock their fridge without worrying of a break

Love this egg container! Practical, sturdy, impervious to hard knocks or melted ice water in your cooler, and extremely compact to maximize space. Try using 2 in different colors, one for raw and one for hard-cooked eggs, and you’re set for fresh breakfasts (try the Nordic Ware 64802 Microwave Egg Boiler if you’ll have access to a microwave) plus portable protein during the day for salads, sandwiches or snacks! This is a real win for us.
Note: NOT for deviled eggs (unless you put 2 halves together and don’t mind if the filling leaks out a little into the container, or unless you use rather small eggs and wrap 2 halves together in plastic wrap or aluminum foil before inserting into the case), but GREAT for unshelled eggs, or even shelled (if they’re hard-cooked). And don’t try to pressure the case, even just a little, to fit into a fraction of an inch less space than it really takes — it’s likely to crack or break outright if you do.
