   This is an OK paddle to keep as a spare, or for flat water or light surf duty. I purchased it so I’d have a break down paddle that traveled easily and also as a spare to loan to friends. For $39 it’s hard to go wrong. The shaft is light and fairly well made, but the blade is big, heavy and flexy. I may cut the blade down to a size better suited for surf, and to reduce some of the weight. Bottom line, not worth full retail, but for what I paid I’m happy with the purchase.
