   Lighter than my other tents. Much simpler to assemble especially if you’re in a rush to get out of bad weather. It doesn’t take up a lot of space in storage. More room for my wife and I plus our gear to keep everything nice and dry. Place a tarp under it. Front screened in area to keep wet boots, etc. From the sleeping area. It comes with a rail cover but I left it off for the pictures.

   Super spacious. We managed to make it work in very windy, below freezing temps, with some extra insulation for a winter camping excursion. The sectioned off porch area makes a nice convenient place to remove any dirty gear and clothing prior to getting into bed after a long day of adventure. Set up is pretty easy as well, it’s just HUGE. I’m so excited to get some actual summer camping done in this beaut. Worth every penny.

   Just finished doing a weekend beach tent camping with it. Tent survived well the winds and rain. Only downside is that I broke two plastic clips, seems like they break easily so be careful when snapping clips

   Overall I really like this tent from Coleman. To me this tent is up to 3 people since I like to use the screened porch for stuff which I prefer not to get wet (and don’t want to where I sleep). The setup is pretty straightforward and can easily be done by 1 person (as I did) – two folks doing it will make it a breeze. The bottom tarp, sides and rain-fly all seem to be of decent quality. This is not a blackout tent and with a clear sky plus a full moon it is very bright inside. I was in the midst of a hefty thunderstorm one night and the tent did hold up. Only where my sleeping bag did touch the fabric of the tent, there was some wetness. But that would be the case for most tents as far as I know. Not sure how to best describe it: The entrance to the screened porch is angled inwards at the top (see picture) which I think isn’t the best design. Whenever I unzipped the porch entrance, the wet fabric would hang down right over the inside tarp (unless you tie it up) with some water dripping in. Overall, yes, usable in some heavy rain. The plastic clips to snap the tent to the poles seem to be sturdy but I do prefer loops/channels. I had to move a few of them since they were not in the proper position. I am also concerned they might get brittle over time and break. The bug mesh has some “irregularities” and I had some very tiny bugs get in (just a very few). Overall it seemed decent to keep the *vast* majority of them and most annoying ones out. All the zippers seem to be well made and outer facing ones are covered to keep the rain out. The stakes are the usual round, skinny ones which I am not a fan off. I got myself a set of beefier ones. Last but not least, the carry bag could be a little nit bigger. The entire tent fits in nicely when it was folded mechanically at the manufacturing site but once it is out for use … I had a hard time to squeeze everything back in there. This is a great price for a spacious tent of this size and quality.

   We setup this tent when we got it and sprayed it with waterproofed and let it dry. On the first trip it poured crazy crazy rain for 4 hours and no water got into the main space (just the entryway which was expected). Great tent!

   I do quite a bit of canoe camping. I’m trying to get my girlfriend as excited about spending time in the outdoors as I am. I figure the best way to do that is to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Having a good tent is an important part of that. This is a decent tent. There’s plenty of floor space. Enough for our twin size inflatable mattress, all of our gear, and the doggie. The fully enclosed vestibule is nice for storing wet shoes and to isolate the wet dog until she dries off enough to be let around our sleeping gear… The included mesh gear loft is nice, as are the ample pockets sewn onto the walls. All this makes for convenient storage for phones, keys, headlamps, etc. The top half of the main body of the tent is all mesh, so ventilation should be pretty good. While the rain fly provides ample coverage and should keep you dry in even a heavy downpour. Setup is quite simple as the main poles are permanently attached to the body of the tent. I have a number of higher-end solo tents, so I have a basis for comparing included hardware. That’s where this one loses a star. Inclusion of these few detail items would have lowered the weight of the tent, and/or made setup/takedown easier, but would also have raised the price point. So, it’s a trade-off. Specifically I am referring to fiberglass poles, instead of aluminum. Fiberglass is pretty durable, but it’s heavy, and less expensive. The clips that attach the body to the poles are not the easy, twist-off style, but are a little cheaper, less easy to remove variety. The steel stakes do work, but again, are way heavier than a more expensive aluminum stake. This is a good budget-minded tent that will get you outdoors in comfort. I have no doubt that it will serve the casual camper very well. There are lighter weight, higher quality tents out there, but you will pay for the nicer features and weight savings. Overall I recommend this for anyone on a budget. It’ll get you outdoors.

   First time setting up was tough. After a few YouTube videos we got it put together correctly and it was spacious and kept the bugs out. It does get awfully hot in there but the windows you can unzip are pretty neat. Happy with the purchase

    This tent really is a 5-minute set-up! We took it camping with non-stop wind and rain and it was perfect. Everything inside stayed dry. Plenty of room for myself, husband, child and dog. Coleman has great quality and we’re very satisfied with the purchase.
