   I got this Coleman Pro 16-can cooler for review, and it’s honestly punching above its weight. It’s not flashy, but it’s clearly made for people who actually use their gear. The fabric feels tough enough to handle real life—not just sit pretty on a beach towel—and the insulation holds up well for day trips.

   We’ve thrown in drinks, snacks, cold packs—no problem. The main compartment zips shut tight (though I’ll admit, the zipper takes some coaxing if you’ve really packed it out), and the top pocket is surprisingly roomy. Good for stashing napkins, a sandwich you don’t want soggy, or the one granola bar you’re hiding from the rest of the family.

   It’s compact enough to carry without fuss but still holds a decent stash. If I had to nitpick, the zipper thing is real, and I wouldn’t mind if the strap padding were a little more generous. But overall? This cooler shows up and does what it’s supposed to—maybe even a little better than I expected.

   Ice barely melted after leaving cooler in a hot truck with 0% tinted windows in 90 degree Louisiana heat for 4 hours.
   Works as advertised, exceeds expectations, and great value! It’s made well and durable but lightweight. Has adjustable cushioned shoulder strap for easy transportation. The next day after ice melted there were no leaks on the exterior of the cooler so it’s lined well.
   Perfect size for small families for a few drinks with a top zipped storage compartment to keep items like launchables and sandwiches that I don’t want getting wet and soggy but also need them kept cool.
   It also has a front sipped storage compartment for keeping keys or phones which is a plus.

   Overall this cooler is a great and much loved find!

   This is the Coleman Pro 16-Can Premium Soft Cooler. I think it’s Coleman’s first foray into soft-sided “premium” coolers. To compete with the likes of rtic and yeti. This Coleman is a bit smaller than the rtic 20 can version but it’s half the price at $69 (nice). The Coleman has a thick tough blue ballistic nylon exterior, which I think will wear well as time goes on. It may get scuffed and dirty, but it’s probably easy to clean with a little Dawn soap and water. I’d recommend spraying it with Scotchguard to help protect it from moisture and stains. It’s got a nice big pocket built into the lid that acts as a dry storage area for any items you don’t want to keep in the lower cooler area with ice and whatnot like your phone and/or wallet and other items. I think it’s a great feature and it appears to be bigger than the one on the rtic cooler. On both sides of the cooler there are “Molle” style loops where you can attach any item that will hook to those loops. Maybe a bottle opener or wine corkscrew? It’s a little extraneous to me, but I guess a low cost feature to add that isn’t on any of the competitor’s soft coolers. The bottom is a hard rugged material with a slightly raised ridge all around near the edges to provide a small lift off the ground when put on a hard surface. And a “Coleman Pro” logo stamped in so you don’t forget what you’ve got. The inside of the cooler is finished in a thick plastic material that will keep water in as long as you don’t flip the thing over upside down. This material lends itself well to easy clean up with a cleaning wipe or a damp paper towel. The zipper around the top is nice and thick, although it does tend to get caught on the nylon lip on the inside quite a bit. Just be careful when zipping it up and you’ll be fine. We took this cooler on an overnight staycation in town and I filled it with a six-pack of adult beverages along with 3 medium sized blue-ice gel packs. It kept the beverages nice and cold for 24 hours in a 72F hotel room. That’s about what I would expect from a nice thick “soft” cooler such as this. With the right amount of ice and ice packs, it will definitely keep your drinks cold on a hot day at the park or beach. There is no drain hole or plug on the side or bottom, so if there’s liquid from melting ice or condensation, you’ll have to open the cooler up and tip it upside down to get it all out. I like this cooler and expect to get a lot of good use out of it come this summer. Recommended!

    This cooler is made from super rugged material with plenty of insulation to keep your drinks and picnic items cool even on the hottest days. It has one large main compartment for your drinks and cold/warm food items, and two smaller compartments for carrying other necessities- one of those compartments is flat on the top of the cooler and we fit a dozen cupcakes for our son’s birthday in there! Each compartment has a different type of zipper- the main storage area has a heavy duty zip which feels absolutely ‘expensive luggage’ grade. The upper pocket zipper is slightly more flimsy, but still runs smoothly. The front pocket, which is made from a plastic material has a zipper that is super tight and does not feel nearly as durable as the others- we’ll see and update the review as needed. The shoulder strap clips on and off and there’s a carrying handle on top. I wouldn’t mind seeing backpack style straps on this as it can get heavy with a lot of beverages, but perhaps those will be added in the future. As others have mentioned, both sides have Molle style strap holders so you can feasibly attach a lot more to this cooler. Overall, this one is a great choice for those days when you need storage for cold beverages or food!

    Coleman has been around for a long time. They are known for making good quality products and this cooler is no exception. I put a single ice pack in before I went to bed and left it on the covered porch. Came back that night after work and the ice pack was still solid. Granted, it was partly in the shade most of the day, but the air temperature was about 85 degrees. I left it out again. When I checked it after work, the pack was thawed but still cold. I would estimate this was 36 hours later. I like the domed top where you can keep random stuff. It will be perfect to hold my Propel packets, silverware, etc. The zipper is a little stiff but not difficult to use. I really like the rugged bottom for added durability. The color is true to the ad. My picture has a yellowish tint for some reason. Although the ice pack in the picture fits almost perfectly, I do have others that don’t fit as well. Overall, I can’t find any faults in the couple times I’ve used it. I don’t think you can go wrong with this cooler.
